The community purchased, from The Forestry Commission, Scotland in 2012 this Victorian Walled Garden through Ardentinny Community Trust, which is a registered charity. It is a 2B listed site. The Walled Garden, which was originally the kitchen garden for Glenfinart Estate, has now been divided into 5 areas: • an orchard with native apple, pear and plum trees. • a grassed public area, with small band stand, for events • a soft fruit and vegetable growing area with raised beds and polytunnel • a sensory, reflective garden • a children’s garden with willow dome and tunnel, bird hide, bug hotel, strawberry beds and fairy ring. On a sunny day the orchard or sensory garden is a beautiful, tranquil spot for a picnic and there are public toilets by the beach. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Dunoon Burgh Hall is the premier location on the Cowal Peninsula for art exhibitions, theatre, cultural events and information about the area. We offer packages for the Hall as a venue hire for weddings, funerals or anything else you might want. As a community driven location and a charitable trust, the Burgh Hall is a model for local involvement in the arts. Come and visit our Cafe as well!
Dunoon Burgh Hall has a cafe which offers tasty veggie- and vegan food; there's a shop selling beautiful hand-crafted pieces by local artists, an exhibition space with interesting displays, and a small theatre offering a wonderful opportunity to see plays, listen to music and witness multi-media events. Highly recommended!
