Just happened by Lake Superior Art Glass with the open air windows and watched Jake make a memorial vase with a someone's loved one's cremated ashes...WOW...so very cool! We've been to the island of Murano in Italy and can attest to how professional and beautiful their hand blown glass creations are! They are 1 of 2 glass blowing companies in the nation that allow people to make their own memorial so when we go back in October, we're going to bring some of our precious little chihuahuas' ashes and make a paperweight! They offer classes too so what are you waiting for?! Support this awesome small business!!

Solve Entertainment creates live-action, interactive and immersive escape room experiences. With a commitment to high levels of theatricality and creativity, Solve aims to transform the Duluth entertainment landscape with real-world, tangible and tactile adventures where the audience becomes the hero. Our locally crafted escape room company produces family-friendly adventures dedicated to creating unforgettable memories. New saftey procedures ensure three hours between experiences, private games only, and no-contact game mastering.
Solve entertainment is one of the two escape room brands in Duluth. Solve provides the more challenging and immersive adventures and changes their themes more frequently to provide ongoing entertainment value for people who frequent Duluth. Their style varies from standard escape room experiences because the game master is a more active participant in the experience as an overhead voice of a child in the babysitter room (that had a bit of a dark twist the further you get) and a headquarters detective in the Christmas themed silent night room. Both were fun and challenging and included puzzles of all types including logical, seeker, spatial, abstract, and easy but time consuming for example which gives everyone in your group of all different experience and ability levels an opportunity to participate. The rooms are very difficult for just a couple, but possible for an experienced duo, but 4-6 is a nice number. This review was written during the time of the covid pandemic and solve has definitely thought carefully about how to approach safety and health. The escape experience is entirely contactless where a line leads you to a lobby where only your group is. There are additional colored lines that lead to the rooms themselves and restrooms. The game master joins through the TV from a nearby isolated room to explain the rules and game. Solve also provided masks, sanitizer, and gloves for participant use.

You are trapped in a room. But it's not an ordinary room, it's a real life adventure game designed for small groups of friends, families, co-workers or strangers. You look around and begin to notice strange objects and messages - or are they clues? - scattered around. Can you and your team solve the puzzles, figure out the clues, find the key, and escape the room? You'll have to think on your feet: our games require you to think your way out, not break your way out. You have 60 minutes, so be quick!
It was a great time and way to get my employees to communicate better with eachother. I think it really bought members of my team together plus the enchanted forest was amazing full of clues and kept us on our toes the whole time.

Finished in 1908, this Lake Superior 39-room mansion enjoys a rare, intact collection of original furnishings and art. Because of that, it closely resembles the days when the Congdon family first occupied it. Truly, it is Duluth's answer to Downton Abbey. Situated on a wooded lot, the home boasts spectacular views of Lake Superior, as well as, multiple gardens including formal, flower and vegetable. Guests are also encouraged to explore the carriage house, boat house, stone bridge and pier. Children enjoy the pebbled beach for hours of rock skipping while parents take in a sit on one of Adirondack chairs. Be sure to check out Glensheen as part of your must-do Duluth bucket list.
If you do not pre-plan and miss out on the guided tour, fear not! Our family did the self guided tour of the home and gardens on a beautiful sunny October day and we truly enjoyed every bit of the tour. The information provided throughout the home is very informative about the home and the family. The booklet describing the Gowns of Glensheen was fascinating as well. We did not feel rushed. We were able to see the majority of the home and all of the gardens. Oh, to be an invited guest at one of the Congdon's many parties must have been spectacular!
