Whether you’re a high roller or a low-key lounger, Las Vegas has something to suit your vacation taste. Sample fare from top chefs and cornucopian buffets, try your luck at one of the world’s premier casinos, or take in a spectacular show. Just wandering the Strip is enough to get your heart pumping. Once you’ve had enough of the razzle-dazzle, wave hello to the toothy sea life at the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, hike Red Rock Canyon, or visit the Neon Museum, where old signs take on new life.

Wanted to stop in and check out the casino as I watch Youtube sensation "Slotlady"and she spends a lot of time here. Now I know why. Although and older casino it was a lot of fun and the dealers were fun to be around. Just a block away from the Fremont experience so make it a day. many resturants close by also.

Long before the celebrated mobster Bugsy Siegel built the Flamingo Hotel in 1946, the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino was standing at 1 Fremont Street in Las Vegas. It's an integrate part of the town's history. It is the oldest (1905) and smallest (106 rooms) on the Fremont Street Experience. One of the first to come to Las Vegas, John F. Miller opened a temporary tent hotel on the southeast corner of Main Street and Fremont Street in 1905. He opened the Hotel Nevada in 1906. He opened another hotel and casino in 1931, when gambling in Nevada was legalized. In 1955, the casino was renamed the Golden Gate. In 1974, the entire property was renamed the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino. It was the first to serve a 50-cent shrimp cocktail in 1959, a regular-sized sundae glass filled with small salad shrimp and topped with a dollop of cocktail sauce. Sound familiar? To keep up with the competition, the Golden Gate was renovated in 2005, 2012 and 2017. Today, it features a 35,000-square-foot, five-story tower with 14 new suites and two penthouses to attract high rollers. The casino, expanded to cover 12,243 square feet of space, also features a new high limit gaming area. Bugsy Siegel would be proud.

I love the Fremont Casino. The slots are pretty loose and the Cocktail staff is exceptional and very friendly. Maria and Michelle were great waitresses and easy on the eyes! The comps here are great. We ate free every day and night. We haven’t stayed at the hotel yet, but probably will next time. We stayed at Golden Nugget, but did Most of our gambling here because you can’t get a beer at the GN unless you pay $6. Their wait staff is clueless. Fremont has $3 beers & $4 shots when your not gambling, thats a deal! Great buffet and Tony Roma’s was also good.

Gold Spike is a one-of-a-kind bar and nightlife venue featuring over-sized, interactive games, uniquely programmed special events, and great music. Formerly a hotel and casino, the historic Gold Spike has been re-imagined as Downtown Las Vegas’ premier adult playground. Open 24/7, Gold Spike offers ’round-the-clock drinking and dining options. The outdoor courtyard, also known as the “Backyard,” features a variety of over-sized games, a main stage, tiny house, and bar. During the day, the Backyard makes for a fun, family-friend hangout, and during the evening it transforms into an energetic nightlife venue. From roller skate parties to food trucks and llamas, there’s always something unique to discover in the backyard.
From the minute I began the check in process with CJ I knew I choose the right hotel everything was convenient and excellent this is my new favorite hotel in Vegas

The D casino has a great vibe! The music playing on the 1st level is energetic. There are beautiful dancing dealers on tables in the table gaming areas, plenty of friendly waitstaff, quick service and a huge assortment of great slot machines. If it's too loud downstairs, check out the 2nd floor- plenty of slot machines and video poker. There is also a Sigma Derby Horse Racing Game that receives a lot of attention. High limit slots are also upstairs, which is newly remodeled. Dining: Check out Andiamo Restaurant. I did a review on them also. Please check it out if you are looking for a nice dinner while in Vegas. I have done very well on the slots machines at the D. My friends did good as well. What started out on the strip as straight losses turned around quickly at the D on the past 2 trips. The D will now be on our agenda when we go back again. **I would also like to add that the restrooms in the casino were immaculate. The staff really is on top of their game! There was never a time that there was not an attendant in there cleaning. All positives for the D Casino. We can't wait to go back!
