Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

Close to the shopping district, it gives an amazing contrast of the peace and quiet provided by the temple with the high-rise buildings that surround it. It's very peaceful and we were the only tourists there when we visited. It has meditation halls and a beautiful main temple.

A little slice of calm in the center of town, this Hindu shrine is situated on a busy junction. Always teeming with worshippers, it’s a photogenic spot where incense constantly burns and traditional Thai dancers in full costume are often found.
A very popular place to worship for both Thai's and overseas visitors... very colourful and smells of the incense sticks. This is a must visit place if your in Bangkok even if your not that religious as you can get some nice colourful photos.

Ganesha shrine located outside the Central World shopping Mall is of the Hindu God who is a son of Shiva and Parvathi. Praying to him is known to bring success to what ever you are starting. We visited this shrine in the evening and it was crowded with people offering various fruits, flowers and lighting Incense sticks.
