Acadia Photo Safaris are hands-on nature photography tours conducted in Acadia National Park and led by Howie Motenko, a local, professional photographer. Every photo safari explores camera setting choices, creating compelling and engaging compositions and developing a photographic awareness enabling you to capture Acadia's natural beauty. All photographers and all skill levels (beginner and beyond) are taught in a small, intimate group (limited to 6 participants) during our 3-hour photography tour. Safaris are offered in the mornings, afternoons or evenings to suit your schedule.

I've taken classes and taught workshops at ArtWaves. It's a pretty special place, with a friendly and welcoming community. Classes range from introductory level to fairly advanced, and the overall atmosphere is 'Everybody is an artist, come on in!' Love the energy there.

Schoodic Arts for All is a non-profit organization presenting high-level performances, cultural programming and workshops in the genres of music, theater, craft, dance, fiber arts, sculpture, visual arts and writing. Our programs are year-round, and our 2-week festival in August with 100+ workshops and 26 performances is the highlight of our season.
Went to see a Celtic trio recently, and the historic venue was quaint and comfortable. They even offered fresh bake cakes and pies prior to the show. This is a must for a Friday evening if you are in the area. I will make this a regular spot for me in the future. Look for schedule of events on their website.
