For the 2020 season, the Castine Historical Society's exhibits will be closed due to COVID-19. However, the Historical Society will offer "Castine Uncovered Walking Tours." These one-hour tours will cover 1/2 mile of terrain with some inclines. During your tour, you will hear about Castine's rich history, learn stories of the people and places of Castine's past, and see the hidden gems only the locals know about. we took a walking tour of Castine with the Historical Society. The tour was a lovely walk stopping at points and places of interest in this lovely historical town. The tour lasted a little over an hour, Dabney was our guide - great tidbits of information about the town past and present, a lovely stroll and very interesting. Highly recommend. If you didn't love the town before, you certainly will after.
