What to do and see in Double Bay, New South Wales: The Best Things to do

May 17, 2022 Harland Bartelt

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

Pilgrim Sailing

Pilgrim Sailing offers everyone an opportunity to enjoy sail on Sydney Harbour and enjoy the beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the harbour foreshore during the summer months (November to March). One of the favourites is the Twilight Racing on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can jump on board a beautiful 58-foot yacht and either relax & enjoy the stunning harbour at sunset or be part of the crew and help sail the boat (instruction provided). Or if you'd rather a relaxed harbour cruise, come for a gentle sail on Sydney Harbour and soak up the views over the city as the sun goes down. Enjoy a selections of wines, beer and cheese as we sail from Rose Bay to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Alternatively charter Pilgrim for an exclusive cruise on the harbour - sailing, swimming, lunch, whatever you wish! Pilgrim Sailing provides the yacht, skipper and crew, prepares your food and is also happy to teach you to sail.

Double Bay Farmers Markets

Reviewed By lizziec360 - Sydney, Australia

I have visited the Double Bay market on 3 occassions recently. I purchased fruit and veg, salmon and clothes. All stall holders were friendly, happy and helpful. The most enthusiastic was the guy who makes the Babka. He is so enthusiastic about it when he makes a new flavour. This time it was a Walnut Baby Babka. His enthusiasm is infectious. I always leave the markets feeling great. Well done guys...
