I called here on a fairly gloomy/rainy day by it didn’t matter at all (with the right footwear and clothing) it’s still a great place to stretch your legs. The walking trail was good (not too strenuous) and lovely to get out in to hearing and seeing nature - also some good informative signs.

We camped at Thungutti for 2 nights. Had a thunderstorm on the first arvo, but it passed quickly. Toilet clean. Firewood and bbqs provided in all sites. Some have tables. Did one of the shorter walks called Tea Tree Falls. Had a dip in a small waterhole on the way. The view from the picnic ground 3km up the hill (drive to it) is amazing, goes all the way to the coast. Highly recommend if you love the bush and don’t want the crowds around Dorrigo.

Waterfall Way Gallery is a boutique, contemporary art gallery in the picturesque rural town of Dorrigo. The Gallery is named after Waterfall Way, a stunningly beautiful 2.5 hour drive from Coffs Harbour to Armidale in northern NSW. Dorrigo is situated about half-way along the drive. The Gallery presents exhibitions and recitals by artists and musicians living in the Waterfall Way region.

Beautiful natural waterfall with a great swimming swimming hole, which is very accessible providing you are good on your feet. Many steps and some uneven ground to climb down and back up. Coffee cart, picnic tables and playground all near the car park.

We first came here around 23 years ago and we're interest to see it again as we were in the area. It's well worth a visit. There's walks of different lengths and difficulty to choose from. We started with the short sky walk, then moved on to the longer (2+km) walk to the picnic ground and back. While not too difficult, there are some hills to go up and down. There's a couple of places to sit along the way. It's mostly peaceful walking through the rainforest. We heard and saw lots of birdlife. The path is firm and easy to walk on. Make sure you detour along the bird trail - it's a raised boardwalk through the canopy, with information about birdlife along the way. The longest walk available was a 6.6km track. Back at the rainforest centre we stopped at the Canopy Cafe for refreshments (2 kombucha on tap), and rested before we set out for Dorrigo. Allow yourself 1-3 hours depending on which walk you plan to do. Highly recommend this attraction.
