Pete Dye’s signature golf course, the #1 course in the Caribbean, and the #39 ranked course in the world—Teeth of the Dog has a reputation that’s well deserved. Meticulously hand carved from the rugged rock and coral of the Dominican coastline, the hard-fought and challenging creation of Teeth of the Dog is an apt description for what playing a round can be like. #39 Ranked Golf Course in the World
Wonderful views with 6 holes on the ocean. Helpful caddies, and challenging, but not unfair. While there, take time to also play the Links course.

Punta Espada Golf Course is already listed among the worlds finest, with the renowned GolfWeek ranking it as the best golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico. Eight holes play along and over the sea. From all points of Punta Espada, golfers are blessed with extraordinary views of the Caribbean, where the sea contrasts against the emerald fairways and the perfect greens. Challenging stroke play and beauty are entwined in this outstanding par 72 course, which hosted the inaugural PGA Tour’s Champions Tour in April 2008 - The Cap Cana Championship. The annual tournament is televised internationally through the Golf Channel and its license-holding subsidiaries.
Spectacular condition, perfect fairways and greens, gorgeous views and fair layout. The course by itself is not that challenging unless playing the tips with the regular wind in your face on 14 of the 18 holes then straight 230 yd drives in the wind are a must to score. Other tees are more forgiving for windy days. The par 3 250yds over the ocean with wind at your back is insane, tough to stop a ball on the target green with a 3 wood. Greens are amazing, a bit slow but true. Apeed of play is awesome took me less than 2 hours for 18 holes with caddy running. Price is high but its worth it for the bucket list. Cap Cana is an amazing place and very well designed. This is top class golf in an outstanding area.

No serious player can take a golf vacation to the Caribbean without testing his or her chops on this stand-out course. Now offering new Enhancement Packages with its sister course, Corales, no serious golf can come to the Dominican Republic without playing a round on these world-class courses.
This is a great gold experience. The property is comprised of 3, 9-hole courses. Since on of the nines is currently being renovated , you play the inland 9 first followed by the ocean course for your second nine. Both nines were in excellent condition. On the ocean nine, the Atlantic Ocean comes into play on the final 3 holes. Course plays as short as 5700 yards and over 7000 yards for those who want the challenge. Caddies are included, although you don't have to use them. Service overall was excellent

Let’s talk numbers: 27 holes; 7,740 yards long; 7 cliff-side holes dropping 300 feet to the Chavón River below; and breathtaking 360 views. By our calculations Pete Dye’s masterpiece, Dye Fore, has a winning formula. Characterized by spectacular views of the Dominican mountains, the Chavón River, the Marina, and Altos de Chavón, this challenging cliff-side course is a delight for players of all levels. Now some more numbers for you: 12 and 15—two of the greatest par three holes in the world; 5 the amount of holes on the Lagos course with lakes in play; and 1 the number of strokes it takes to get started on the round of a lifetime.
If you play golf for the beauty of the course and it’s surroundings, this is the one. If you play for score, go somewhere else. Extra ordinary beauty, extra ordinary difficulty. Few players, fantastic course condition, good caddies. Windy days here could be hell but caught a great day. Pete Dye punishes golfers so be prepared to have the course beat you into the dirt. Perfectly maintained, flawless greens and fairways. Expensive but worth it. Memorable.

Welcome to the fabulous Iberostate Bávaro Golf & Club, created by leading designer P. B. Dye. This magnificent course boasts a length of 6,897 yards, a rating of 73, and a 126 slope. The 105 white silica sand bunkers dotted throughout the course form an eye-catching contrast with the intensely green Supreme Paspalum grass, perfect for this tropical region. Together with the lakes, streams, and even some desert-like features, it creates a combination of colors that is impossible to be forgotten. Simply put, an irresistible temptation for both Pro and Amateur guests staying either at our fine Iberostar properties or at any other resort nearby.

Just returned from our annual golf trip at the Hard Rock Hotel. This marked the 8th consecutive year that we have made the Hard Rock our destination of choice for our annual golf trip. In recent months there has been a lot of negative press regarding travel to the Dominican Republic and more specifically Punta Cana and even the Hard Rock resort. Most of this negative press was without merit and has tarnished the Dominican Republic and its people. Aside from this annual golf trip, I have travelled with my family and friends to the Dominican Republic for the past 15 years and during that time we have always felt safe and always left the Country without incident! What can I say about the golf course and the staff! I honestly never would have thought that we would still be coming back after 8 years. Prior to coming to the Hard Rock our annual golf trips were spent in either South Carolina or Scottsdale playing different courses every day. That all changed when we found this gem of a resort with this first-class golf course and staff! The course itself is a great test of golf with some challenging holes, some very fun holes and #18, a great finishing hole. Over the past several years they have added GPS to all the carts and they recently renovated the pro shop which now has a much larger selection of Merchandise. When we played this course last year, we thought that it was in the best condition of all the years that we had played it but this year it was even a notch better. The greens were in excellent condition along with the fairways. We played 27 holes a day and each day the course played differently depending on the pin position and wind direction/speed. As much as our group loves the golf course it’s the staff that makes this course a gem, you all Rock! From the attentive pro shop staff, all the guys in the back shop and even the shuttle driver, they can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. They have a great leadership team that is led by Juan Alberto and his two assistants Felicia and Ramona. Thanks again to another memorable year and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Really enjoyed playing there. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Golf course was challenging but fun as each hole was different in visual effect. Greens were true which held very well. I can’t comment on the price as I stayed at the Barcelo Palace. Cost for me was unlimited free golf with 75.00 US for cart fee. They have a 4 cart special which reduces it down to 60. Putting and chipping green are excellent. Only downside is the balls and hitting mat in range. These balls are in rough shape. Mats are hittable but really well worn. Would I go back. Absolutely. I really enjoyed playing golf there.
