On the fort side of Diu town is the island's last remaining fully-functional church, St Paul's. Completed in 1610, the church has an excellent baroque facade and a very fine selection of wooden panelling and furniture inside, including an extravagantly carved 400 year old pulpit.
A very calm, peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Churches are always a peaceful place to visit and this church is a must visit in Diu, the interior is really amazing built by the Portuguese.

The Shell Museum is adjacent to the Diu Airport (about 8 km from Diu fort). The Shells are exhibited in a room on the ground floor and also a mezzanine. This awesome collection of Shells is the painstaking effort by a retired Captain from the Merchant Navy. This is a labour of love. He has neatly sorted and labelled the shells, he has made large posters giving the life cycle, anatomy etc of each specie. The exhibits are housed in glass displays and there are many bottles with a magnifying glass at the top to see the finer details of the shells. He is very passionate about his collection and during our visit, he pointed out many hidden aspects and oddities of some of the shells. It would take one almost two to three hours to read and observe each shell. The entry fee is only Rs. 20. An insignificant amount for such a large collection. Highly recommended.
