Washington Photo Safari is one of the country's leading providers of amateur photographer instruction. Established in 1999, it was the first program of regularly scheduled local photo safaris in the nation. It teaches photography by taking clients on half-day and full-day photo shoots around key sites of the nation's capital and other cities, while an accompanying professional photographer offers participants hands-on extensive tips in camera use, image composition, exposure , and posing "models" to best effect. Recipient of Trip Advisor's Hall of Fame Award, Washington Photo Safari provides hands-on photography training field trips, instructing about 5 clients every day. Over 38,000 amateur photographers from all 50 US states and from 53 countries have been trained on 5,900 safaris since 1999 by Washington Photo Safari, 11,500 of them returning as repeat clients. Voted among the Best Photography Services in 2019 by DC's City Paper, its motto is "See. Click. Learn."

The Boomerang Pirate Ship offers family fun treasure hunt cruises during the day, along with party pirate cruises at night for the 21+ crowd. Our vessel carries 84 passengers, a treasure chest full of loot, a full bar in the galley, and a large variety of music. We may run into a few scallywags along the way, so be prepared to man the lookout- or we might make you walk the plank!
The staff was just amazing. All the pirates were amazing, but one guy really stood out (above the already awesome staff). For the family pirate themed boat - the drinks are decently priced of $2 for a solo cup of coke, etc and free water is available within a cooler towards the back of the boat close to the bathrooms. I am not sure if the pirate who is driving a separate boat (speed boat) is always part of the pirate ship excursion. He was so amazing and interacted with the kids and let the water cannons blast him - the many times he went around our main pirate ship boat. This part was definitely a high light and impressed me with the original and interactive idea. I definitely would go again on this boat and hopefully have the same boat and crew as before.
