Diar il-Bniet Cooking Classes

Cooking has always formed an integral part of our family daily routine. Being born and bred in a family of farmers, with nostalgia we remember ourselves growing up watching our mum and nan cooking authentic Maltese dishes. Our nan’s old and half torn recipe book formed the roots of these secret recipes and for this reason my grandmother always held it closely to her chest.

Dingli Cart Ruts (Clapham Junction) and Caves

There are several prehistoric sites near village of Dingli: the so-called 'cart ruts', unexplained parallel tracks hewn in the rock, and several megalithic caves.

Reviewed By tiggidodo - Island of Malta, Malta

Dingli Cart Ruts known also as Clapham Junction because they intersect one another. Though they are man-made, they remain to this date mysterious as no one has yet come up with any evidence what they represented or why they were dug. Cart ruts are found in many other parts of the Island of Malta, however the Dingli cart ruts remain untouched and undamaged by development. Many have visited and tried to solve their mystery.....maybe someday someone will tell us what they mean.

Dingli Cliffs

Reviewed By sharonhW264WM - Las Vegas, United States

The Dingli Cliffs, the highest point in Malta (280 meters), provide spectacular views of the surrounding cliffs and the sea below. There is a small chapel and a lookout building and beautiful wildflowers—bright red poppies, yellow daisies, and purple honeysuckle. The nearby village of Dingli has picturesque old houses with brightly-colored wooden balconies in red, blue, and green. Great photo opportunities!

St. Mary Magdalene Chapel

Reviewed By 339josephm - East Sandwich, United States

I'm really rating the view, not so much the chapel. The sea views here are among the highest and best on Malta. The chapel is a small stone chapel that sits on the cliff and it kind of bonus. The chapel is not open for visiting, so all you can do is look at it from the outside. Come for the views and flora. There was trailer set up in the parking area selling coffee, tea, soda, snacks and gifts.
