Perched on the hem of the Atlantic in Ireland's southwest, charming Dingle looks out over Dingle Bay to the Blasket Islands. Chock full of friendly pubs where live traditional music plays, the Irish-speaking area fills to the brim with tourists on weekends and through summer. Another regular visitor to Dingle's Gulf Stream-warmed waters is Fungi, the dolphin, the town's unofficial mascot. Popular tourist attractions include the beaches, Mount Brandon and Ballydavid and Ballyferriter villages.

Having qualified as a master craftsman with Waterford Crystal, Sean and his wife Liz came to Dingle, County Kerry in 1998 and set up Dingle Crystal. Dingle is n area famous for its rich heritage of craft and tradition, Sean took inspiration from his new home and transformed it to create a breathtaking collection of crystal giftware using Celtic themes. With six different and distinct patterns, Sean has become renowned for the quality of his work and in particular for his Celtic knots and circles. Visitors to the Dingle Crystal shop on Green Street, Dingle can view a stunning array of glassware from bowls to glasses, from candlesticks to vases, be it a personalised and exclusive wedding gift, a special present or simply a luxurious souvenir of your trip to Kerry, Dingle Crystal is a treasure trove for all.
Sean is a big biker dude with tattoos and a Harley...and does some of the most amazing artwork I've ever seen! He is also a great guy to boot. I have been to Ireland 4 times and gone here every time to add more pieces to my set. Sean was a master craftsman at Waterford - Waterford crystal is now mass produced, so it is no longer something special. When Sean left Waterford, he set up his own shop in Dingle. He has about 5 patterns (if I remember correctly), my favorite is the Irish harp pattern. I order a couple of glasses when I'm there, then about 6 weeks later they arrive at my door in the states, signed and dated by Sean. We were there last month and he now has his two sons working along side him and his daughter runs the shop. We explained to her that we visited every time we were in Ireland, and referred anyone going to Ireland to visit also. One friend we referred was shopping there on her trip a few years back and was having issues with her credit card - Sean and family helped her contact the card company and get everything sorted out. We were saddened to hear that Sean's wife had passed since our last visit - we have great memories of her coffee shop in the back of the crystal store. My Dingle crystal is a cherished collection, and I look forward to adding more pieces over the years.

The Carol Cronin Gallery is also a working studio. Visitors can see the original seascape paintings in the gallery, meet the artist and see works in progress.
We loved Carol’s gallery, we had to go back a second day! Her work is astounding, especially how she can capture the sea and skies in their beauty and enormity. Well worth going to! Bought her book whilst there. We were also lucky enough to meet her on our first day. Such a lovely lady. Well worth visiting!
