Dhërmi (Greek: Δρυμάδες, Drymades) is a village in Vlorë County, Albania. It is part of the municipality Himarë. The village lies 42 kilometers south of the city of Vlorë and about the same distance north of the southern city of Sarandë. The village is built on a slope of the Ceraunian Mountains at approximately 200 meters in altitude. It comprises three neighborhoods: Gjilek, Kondraq (also known as Kallam), and Dhërmi itself. The mountains descend to the southwest into the Ionian coast and Corfu in the distance to the south. Nearby is the village of Palasë. The inhabitants of Dhërmi speak a variant of the Himariote dialect, characterized by archaic features not retained in standard Greek. Recently, the coastal area has seen a boom in the construction of accommodation facilities, such as wooden villa complexes. In addition, it is considered by the Albanian youth as a nightlife destination.

The beach along Dhermi is certainly worth a visit. Many bars spill out onto the beach with various amounts of sunbeds, sun four-posters and thatched shelters.
Quite Italian in its organisation but with a far more relaxed style. Some parts fo the beach are empty where you can take your own towel and parasol but all the supplied parasols and beds are very cheap and come with service at your lounger from the local bars.
Unlike may Beaches in the world, here you are never bothered by annoying sellers of rubbish ! There are some that walk along with fruit, nuts and some doughnut things but you are never pestered.
The beach on the Northern part of Dhermi is very long and straight from Ostro in the south to Summer dream in the North. We favoured the Ostro end.
The covering is mainly shingle and smooth small stones. the entrance to the sea can be a bit uncomfortable on the feet so some swim shoes are a help but, once in, the water is amazing ! Very clean and incredibly clear sea. It really is the most remarkably clear sea I have seen !
The area is still developing and will continue to improve in the coming years. Small bar area with some nightlife is quite cool with plenty of restaurants to experience.

This is the nicest beach bar in the area, not only Jali, but including Drymades and Dhermi. The staff is friendly and the service is very good. If you want to enjoy a nice morning coffee looking at the beautiful Ionians see, or you want to experience the nightlife with some nice cocktails, Baraban Bar is the right choice.
This place is great for morning, afternoon and evening, Great cocktails and music all day, and it is right in the seaside, so its easy to go and refresh yourself in the amazing Ionian Sea. The atmosphere is amazingly cheerful thanks to the music and the guests who complete ate frame of the bar. I'll definitely be back every summer!

This is a real pirates cave which looks like and feels like one, best time to visit it is in the afternoon when the sun gets inside and the water is warm enough to swim in.

Bamboo is a Beach and Cocktail Bar, located in one of the most beautiful Beaches in South Albania, in Dhermi, created with much love and care. It is a small place with big personality, where you will get the positivity you need for your summer days. You can't go without trying the great cocktails of our bartender. Cheers to summer days!
It is a small paradise in a crowded area. The beach is very nice, everything is new and clean. At the bar you can take different cocktails and coffees. Everything is prepared with cure from their friendly bartender.
we have spent wonderful time there and I will highly recommend this place.

Although this castle is largely in ruins we found it a romantic and picturesque spot to take some pictures and admire the beautiful coastline and Mountains.
The castle itself is remarkably well preserved in places despite being exposed to the elements. We found that the churches in particular still have visible frescoes.
Parking is plentiful and there is no entrance fee. The ground is uneven all the way through so wear sensible shoes.

Beaches along the Albanian Riviera have a reputation of being extremely crowded (and it is well deserved) - narrow strips of sand with beach chairs and umbrellas stacked side by side almost touching each other. Jala is different. As it lacks some large resorts and is a few kilometers off the main road it just doesn’t attract a big crowd. The beach is quite wide and long and the beach chairs are nicely spaced (we were charged 400 lek - about 3 euros - for two loungers and an umbrella for the day). While the beach is generally not a sandy one the pebbles are quite small making it easy to walk about. The water is clear and warm and a pleasure to swim in. There are plenty of casual bars/beach restaurants to grab a drink/meal at. There is a high end resort (Soleil) and several bargain places to stay (including Nuanti). I’d highly recommend a stay here.
Havana Lounge is the Oldest Bar in south Albania and the most famous! You will recognize it, through your eyes, by its unique marriage of mediterranean and old local architecture and through your ears by the latin groovy music! If you still don't recognize it, just sit at the bar and scream " Viva la Revolucion" and some Cuba libras will make you recognize at least your(latino)self!!!
