Sams Island Distillery is a micro distillery on the island of Samsø established by Mads Nielsen and Jesper Machholm in 2017. At Sams Islands Distillery we believe in simplicity & balance. We are incredibly lucky to live and work on Samsø all year round. Surrounded by salt water, dreams, long-lost Viking ships and very much aware that we find ourselves right in the middle of the world. Sams Island Distillery produces gin, ram, vodka & snaps but we don’t stop there. Our love for Samsø’s natural environment and its raw produce inspires us to experiment and to innovate. Organic since 1967 the estate of Oremandsgaard have long prioritized sustainability and biodiversity. Today, it holds a distillery that produces the most C02-friendly alcohol possible as spirits come mainly from local apple orchards.

Tranum Mølle Destilleri is a small distillery near Jammerbugten in the village of Tranum. The distillery is literally established in the pedestal of the longest-abandoned grain mill in town. Here, award winning gins and aquavits are produced in small handmade batches. We arrange tastings in our small distillery. If you are on holiday in the area, we could also like to visit you.

Stauning Whisky is a Whisky Distillery located in Stauning by Ringkøbing Fjord in West Jutland. The Distillery was founded in May 2005 by nine friends and is Denmark’s oldest Whisky Distillery. CURIOSITY Reviving classic methods lost to industrialization, Stauning whiskies are all made from local grain that is floor-malted and then distilled in 24 small copper stills using direct heat. These stills produce whiskies whose deep flavours reflect the surrounding landscape of Denmark’s West Coast. WHO IS IT FOR? Stauning appeals to curious whisky drinkers on the hunt for innovation in whisky-making and new flavour experiences. They are open-minded and explore all techniques, categories and expressions of whisky. They are just as happy tasting their fine whisky in an expertly made Manhattan cocktail as they are sipping it neat.

Organic Micro distillery with production of different types of Gin and Whisky. Tours are offered and tour hours and prices are listed on the website. The distillery is located in the country side built in a renovated beautiful old farm where you can enjoy the view of the countryside and sight of the street to Langeland. The boutique and cafe offers art work, our own products and coffee and cakes.
