We came back here two years later because we were unable to finish last time due to not having any hats or water. So we went to the sections we had not seen and had an amazing time. I like Bloedel I'm Vancouver but I feel that this one is slightly better as it is way more quiet and peaceful. There were tons of wild and exotic birds to see in their natural habitat and you get to feed them bird seed which they all love. I can't say enough about how much we really enjoyed our day trip here yesterday .

It's a beautiful beach even when the tide is out. It can get crowded during the summer but still a great experience.

Watershed Park

Lovely forest with lots of trails. Always nice and quiet, never any crowds. You can access from 64th Ave at the north or 10th Avenue at the south. There are some wider trails, some very narrow forest trails and also a "meadow", a grassy field area witih some benches. It's not a place for a big family picnic, sweeping views or for a swim. It's a place to go if you want a quiet walk thorugh a beautiful old growth forest with huge Douglas Fir trees. Dogs will love it. Be aware: Some trails are steep. Also it's quite popular with mountain/BMX bikers so be aware. Some of the smaller trails wind around a bit confusingly.

Four Winds Brewing Company

Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth, and balance. Situated just off the banks of the Fraser River in Delta BC, our brewery is geared towards bottle and draft production while our tasting room provides a unique and welcoming atmosphere for craft beer enthusiasts and newcomers alike. In addition to our tasting room, our beers can be found in bars, restaurants, and private liquor stores throughout BC.

My family and I decided stop by beer and lunch at Four Winds. We sat out in the tent because we brought our dog with us. The tables in the tent were well maintained and kept clean. My wife and I ordered the lager (Elementary) which my wife and I both enjoyed. For lunch we ordered some tacos. We read the reviews about the tacos and they seemed positive. Wow!! The tacos were better than expected. My son and I had the brisket tacos and my wife had the duck tacos. My son that they were the best tacos he’s had. He loved the tacos so much and asked when could we come back. Great time enjoyed by all. We’ll be back soon.

Deas Island Regional Park

Reviewed By TreeFrogCreative - Ladner, Canada

My mom and I were looking for somewhere near by for an afternoon walk and decided to visit Deas Island Regional Park. We were pleased to find ample parking and excellent signage about the site and the trails. Several historic buildings have been moved to the site from parts of Delta. They've been restored and painted in attractive, coordinating colours. If you're a fan of Raymond Burr, Canadian-American actor primarily known for his title roles in the television dramas Perry Mason and Ironside, you'll be interested to know that the house on the site belonged to members of his family. My mom nursed one of the family for many years in the local extended care home and remembered many of her stories. There is a rowing club where you can sit and watch the rowers, lovely trails through cotton wood trees along the water, and picnic areas along the beach. I highly recommend the park for your next outing!

We love coming here because my husband says they have the best biggest and most juicey blueberries ever. Their customer service is always great so we always try to come out at least once a year. Their ice cream or milkshakes are also delicious and always help to keep you cool on the drive home.
