The Putnam Museum & Science Center

The Putnam is a place where people connect with history and ideas by doing, making and experiencing. Our classes and special events are a great complement to our hands-on exhibit galleries. There is always something new to discover and something for everyone at the Putnam.

Figge Art Museum

Our family and I spent a little over an hour here and were very impressed. They had a wide variety of art including a Grant Wood exhibit that was well done, and a Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit that was very interesting. We liked most everything except a photography exhibit on the 4th floor that we found pretty dull. If you’re in the Quad Cities area you should make a point to visit. Recommended.

This has become "our" park as we always have to stop here whenever we visit the Quad Cities. - so nice to just sit under the trees and watch the ducks in the pond, take a little walk through the beautiful rose garden, explore the very interesting botanical garden w/ so many different exotic plants, and then enjoy the flower beds and pretty fountain on the other side of the park. Try spending time in this really relaxing park.

Great River Brewery

My favorite thing is the outside patio in the sunshine! It’s a favorite stop when hanging out downtown, riding bikes along the river path and then stopping in. Have done the tour several times as well =cool info and free beer! It’s kid friendly, dog friendly, has a bike station, and often live music. ...unfortunately this place was hit hard by the floods and I’m not sure it will reopen.

Analog Arcade Bar

Reviewed By 54MikeM - Poplar Grove, United States

If you happen to be in downtown Davenport and are looking for a relaxing, quirky bar to spend a few hours and dollars, this is it. Located in an old bank building, it’s safes and main floor are covered with pinball machines and carnival games from decades gone past. On a Saturday afternoon I didn’t find a single one out of order. If you had a favorite from the analog era like I do, skeeball, you’ll find it here. Game prices are not outlandish. There’s Jinga for free. Drink prices are excellent for downtown and there is a good assortment of bar food.
