Goat Island Lodge is a very small fishing and wilderness lodge, with a licensed bar and bistro. 4 only hotel rooms, 2 have 4 single beds, and 2 have 1 Queen size and 2 single beds. All rooms with ensuite, and aircon. but very basic as that is the market serviced. There is no official transport to Island, must have own or hired boat, or come by helicopter.
What an absolutely beautiful place, Kai the owner is the funniest old fart ????highly recommended place to stop for a cold beer.

Our iconic hotel dates back to 1940 and has long been known as Darwin’s meeting place. Open 7 days a week from 10am till late. Enjoy a delicious meal and choose from the many cold beers that are on tap. Hotel Darwin features an award winning Sports Bar and a newly refurbished beer garden. Enjoy free live music every Friday and Saturday nights during the Dry Season.
I really liked the atmosphere of this place, very relaxed, big out door beer garden, great balcony location at the front, pool tables, lots of tap beer, live entertainment, it kind of ticked a lot of boxes for me.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and a few cocktails while our cruise ship was docked in Darwin. Friendly service, good selection of sandwiches and other casual food. My steak sandwich was filled with sliced veggies including beet root!

There’s a secret in Darwin, a sanctuary hidden away in the cool with a library of gins and boutique spirits. You only need to follow the trail; under an archway of vines, past the ancient blooming orchid and across our wide green garden lays a steel door, the gate which keeps wines from across the world safe for your lips. Come for the Drinks, the Music or the Espresso – your friends are waiting! Drinks. Coffee. Friends. Music.

As a gay man who has seen many clubs, Drag Shows etc over many years, I LOVE the community in Darwin, and especially at Throb! My life anthem is always 'Labels are for clothing' and this place clearly shows that. The productions and choreography were both of a very high standard, and the friendliness of the staff and performers also first class! Feel welcome at this place...if only they opened a little earlier....
