Go Coasteering

Keith and Jackie were brilliant hosts throughout. The pre planning was clear and the kit well organised and efficient. The venue was superb and our group of adults and teenagers were well challenged with climbs out of the sea and exhilarating jumps back in.

We did george scrambling this August bank holiday weekend for the first time. We were a bubble of two families with the youngest being 6years old. I must say we all had a fabulous experience. Our instructors Chris and Sammy were amazing! I would certainly recommend this activity.

Hound Tor

Reviewed By adrianrN7779YT - Sutton, United Kingdom

A bracing walk across Hound Tor will certainly blow the cobwebs away. There's an impressive collection of granite tor rock formations at the top to explore and the views across Dartmoor are breathtaking. A short walk from the main tor will bring you to the remains of an abandoned 12th Century village. Be aware that if you are driving up from the Manaton direction then the roads are extremely narrow, barely single carriageway with few passing places. Unless you enjoy reversing up tiny roads to make way for other cars, I recommend using the better roads accessed from the Newton Abbot direction.

Wistman's Wood

Reviewed By 114maram - London, United Kingdom

Wistman’s wood is a very special and unusual forest which looks like it should belong to a different time. The dwarf, contorted trees (mostly oaks) with lichens growing on their branches reminiscent of witches’ hair, make it look like it’s just come out of a story book. The place looks like the product of someone’s fertile imagination. We enjoyed our walk from Two Bridges and, as it was a hot day, we cooled down at the nearby stream. The walk is very uneven and walking boots are essential. We were able to leave our car at the Two Bridges Hotel free of charge after having our drinks at the hotel as the designated car park is tiny. A great half day out!

The Rock Centre - Tree Top Adventures

Reviewed By faith220 - Greater London, United Kingdom

Booked my two teens and husband onto an hour session in the trees on Tuesday but it had to be rearranged. Unfortunately when we turned up, we had not been booked in but the guys there were incredibly professional and most helpful with Mike saying it was fine, he was there and available so not an issue at all. They gave a sense of immense confidence along with a chilled atmosphere which made my youngest feel safe as she slowly gained confidence going round the course. The course itself was challenging without being impossible and both of the guys up there (sorry for not catching the other chap’s name) helping my kids every step of the way. Can’t praise them highly enough and all for a really reasonable cost. Thanks so much for a really fun outing.

Beautiful woodland walk alongside a river on a very good path. When we were there it was great to see loads of youngsters swimming in the deep pools and obviously having a lot of fun.
