The a challenging, beautiful course. There are lots of ways to get in trouble - running streams, a river, lakes, rough rough - and a lot of fun! Part of the challenge, besides the water, traps, big hills is that there is no map on the score card - and no range markers after the tee box! Many times we had to walk out a hundred yards to even tell which way the course went. Bring your A game - and extra balls (although I only lost one). The greens fess are very reasonable oif you are staying here and the 18 hole fee includes clubs.

Fantastic course. Mixture of links/moorland for front 9 and beautiful parkland for back 9. Staff really helpful. Greens immaculate.

Yelverton is a delightful moorland course, designed by Herbert Fowler, who used the old mine workings as natural hazards to challenge golfers of all standards. It has outstanding views across Dartmoor and over Cornwall and is a very natural course, with Dartmoor ponies and cattle sharing the fairways. The clubhouse is open to the public for meals and Sunday lunch.
