More sights at one place can hardly be found in Darmstadt: Hochzeitsturm (Wedding tower), Russian Orthodox Church (Built on Russian soil), Museum Künstlerkolonie (Museum artist colony), surrounded by some pretty Art Nouveau villas ... just rest at one of the nice places and enjoy the atmosphere - a short excursion is worthwhile in any case.

Diversity Under One Roof The Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt The Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt Hessian State Museum is one of Germany’s largest museums, uniting a large number of diverse collections from the fields of art, culture and natural history. This wide range of exhibits lends the HLMD a character that makes it special among Europe’s important museums.
Delightful museum with a large variety of exhibits. It has a cafe which serves a decent range of hot meals and snacks and drinks. We came to see the Messel Pit fossils which were abundant and well displayed.. There were other areas with interesting exhibits of human skulls and skeletons of animals. Nice place to spend the whole day .The Welcome Hotel is close by and is a very nice hotel to stay

This is the kind of Zoos we should have everywhere: open and easily accessible for children to be in the middle of the action. Wide variety of animals and even insects like butterflies. The aquarium section also great.

Designed by a famous architect "Waldspirale" is worth visiting it. Although I live in Darmstadt, I still love the architecture. Next to the house is a cheap supermarket ALDI.
