Old Amsterdam Cheese Store

The centre of Amsterdam is home to three of Old Amsterdam Cheese Store's shops where you can buy your cheese-themed souvenir! Our cheese experts are always pleased to give you a warm welcome and your very own Amsterdam cheese experience. Besides Old Amsterdam (the best-known Dutch mature cheese), these stores also sell other types of Gouda cheese you can take with you when traveling.

Great central Amsterdam cheese shop with a very nice upstairs cheese tasting opportunity. Very good cheese presentation to provide just the right amount of information combined with tasting 5-cheeses with a little wine. It was an hour well spent.

Tony's Chocolonely Super Store

It all started with a mission: together we maken chocolate 100% slavefree. Curious how three journalists went from a documentary about the abuses in the cocoa industry to a market leading chocolate brand? Tony's Chocolonely will tell you everything about it in Tony's Super Store.

I admit, I'm a shopper. When I travel, I regularly check out the better department stores in the city's I'm visiting. Here in Amsterdam, it was the city's premier department store De Bijenkorf on Dam Square. A flagship store of luxury goods and top designer brands from around the globe. It's a beautiful store, that's well designed and organized, along with a helpful staff. I was very impressed with the men's department, one of the best I've seen. In addition to fashionable clothing, De Bijenkorf offers a wide range of luxury goods and services, typical of a department store of this quality. De Bijenkorf also offers tax-free shopping for those outside the EU. If you're in the mood to dine, their restaurant's offer a range of options. One of the best department stores I've ever been in.
