Most Argentinean wine is produced in the mountainous Cuyo region, and visiting oenophiles rave about their experiences here. Whether you take a packaged tour of vineyards or explore on your own (some TripAdvisor travelers recommend renting a bike!), you’re sure to come home with amazing memories… and probably a new favorite Malbec.

The “Edén de los Andes”, Mendoza city and its beautiful surrounding mountains. Contemplate the majesty of Aconcagua Mountain at almost 7000 meters high, making it the highest peak in America. Marvel at the ingenious irrigation system established by Captain Don Pedro del Castillo who founded the city in 1561. This system transports water from Mendoza River to fields of maize, beans and pumpkin, converting the place into the oasis that it is today.

We did a 12 day customized trip in 2018. Found this company through Zicasso, Kieran was great arranging it all and communication was easy. Our trip started in Buenos Aires where we did a cooking class at the Argentine Experience and took a tango lesson. Our dance instructors took us out to a milongo afterwards and we ended up staying out until 2am. It was great! We felt completely immersed in the culture. We then flew to Iguazu and toured the jungle, got blasted by the falls in a boat ride and saw all the incredible creatures that live there. Our last 5 days were spent hiking in Patagonia where we trekked the Perito Moreno Glacier, visited a ranch, and then drove to El Chalten for the final days. All of our transportation was provided, all internal flights booked by Kieran, and everything was just wonderful. To this day, it’s one of my favorite vacations!

We enjoyed this tour very much. The organisation for pickup and drop off was good and we got to see a bit of Mendoza city. The first winery was lovely and the guide very informative. Wine was tasty too. They harvest at night and the day after we were there (March 4) they hold a night harvest for the people. Would have been great to be there!! The second winery was a family one and the philosophy of love and family was very interesting - and the wine was good!! The olive oil place,Laur, was interesting too and the oils and balsamic were delicious. And then the sweet wine!! This was another great winery with lots of passion put into the wine. They also sold Malbec icecream which was delicious. We had four excellent tours and the guide on the bus was informative and kept us on time - started at 2 finished at 745pm. I would definitely recommend this tour if you have limited time to see Mendoza wine region.

MY wife and I, along with another couple spent 4 amazing days in 2017 with Flor, Stephane and all the wonderful hosts. We spent days sightseeing, tasting wine and local food, horseback riding in the Andes and more! We brought home so much wine! The pricing on the wine and everything else was amazing. Each host was generous, helpful and sharing. We wanted so badly to stay longer, but we intend to return for more some day!

This tour was the best part of our trip to Mendoza. Before the trip, I had read a lot about the Uco Valley, and knew that I wanted to hire a private driver to tour the wineries there. Because we were planning the trip last-minute, I took a risk and chose this tour despite the lack of reviews because it described an itinerary that I was looking for and was competitively priced. I was not disappointed. After booking the tour, I reached out to Mariana (contact info was on the Outdoor Frontiers Tours website) since the date of the tour was coming up soon. She was so nice and easy to talk to and was quick to respond to my questions through WhatsApp. She also sent our itinerary ahead of the tour. Sergio was our driver--he was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and more importantly, he was a very safe driver. He picked us up from our hotel, and we all had an excellent conversation during the drive to the Uco Valley. We visited 2 wineries for a short tour and tasting. They were both small, which made the experience more intimate, and it was cool to see their different styles and taste their unique wines. We had lunch and a wine pairing at the 3rd winery. It was probably the best lunch I had in my life, and it was accompanied by a gorgeous view of the Andes. Uco Valley IS as beautiful as they say. Sergio drove us back to our hotel at the end of the day. The driver, winery visits and tastings, and lunch were included in the price of the tour; tips were not included. So if you are interested in a tour to the Uco Valley, book this one now. You won't regret it.

I was at Caché, which I found by accident, and they told me about the walk. I am glad I choose the walk through the park. Erica, my guide, contacted me a day before to ensure everything was in order. I met Erica at the main gate of the park where we started our walk. The park is very large so you may need a full day to explore. Erica told me lots of interesting facts about the park and about the history of Mendoza. We walked for about two hours and finished at Caché for a glass of wine.

What makes our service unique, is our quality as guides and as a person. Our team is made of highly educated people, warm person and wine lovers. No detail is small for us. You will be visiting three beautiful wineries, at the first two, you will taste excellent wines, and a paired lunch with wines at the last one, the location will be in Lujan de Cuyo or Maipu. The wineries we choose are different every day, but our style is to show you a good mix of family run wineries, old and traditional, a boutique one. We prefer to visit wineries we know the owner is around, where the visit is guided from passion people as we are. Our English is pretty good, and you we usually talk about a lot more than just wines, our knowledge of the Argentine culture and history is wide. We know you will enjoy the day, we are looking forward you love Mendoza as much we do!
