Mundo Antiguo Spanish School is a Spanish language school situated right on one of Cusco's main squares: Plaza San Fransisco! We take pride in our ability to give exceptional attention to each of our clients due to our small size - we are not a "tourist factory". ,,It's not our goal to teach Spanish; it's our goal to teach you Spanish."
Embarking on a 3 month adventure through Peru with minimal spanish vocabulary knowledge I wanted to join a Spanish school. After extensive research and communicating with various schools, it was the personal and warm emails from Mundo Antiguo that won me over. Before arriving Lucile was wonderful and professional, answering ALL of my questions within 24hrs. During my two weeks with the school my spanish had definitely improved. I was in a class of four students with two teachers. My teachers were welcoming and always smiling. Within two weeks of classes I could see there was definitely improvement not only in mine but my classmates Spanish. The practical classes once a week were fantastic! Not only to speak Spanish with others on the street but to also experience Cusco with a local. For accommodation I spent one week with a family. While I was further out from the city, the family I stayed with were extremely welcoming and the food qas perfection. Maritza my homestay Mum was lovely and she even came out to one of the ruins with us. The second week I stayed in the student accommodation which was right in town. The location was convenient and the bed comfortable and warm. Hot showers too. Oh and the view from the roof top was something special. The thing I love most about Mundo Antiguo is the extra activities and social events from salsa dancing to fruit tasting to dinners, karaoke, city tours and even hiking adventures, I had such an incredible time learning not only Spanish but also meeting and getting to know incredible people. The staff are also incredibly helpful answering any of your questions. I embarked in many adventures around Cusco and the advice from staff helped me get to where I needed to go safe and sound. I am so grateful for my two weeks with Mundo Antiguo and would recommend them to anyone wanting to learn Spanish and experience Cusco.

FairServices is a non-profit organization that promotes the development and independence of Peruvian youth. Proceeds from this tour will be reinvested in our programs. We will start with a tour of FairServices' school/office, which includes our greenhouse, classrooms, student room with computers and library, garden and kitchen. You will also have the opportunity to meet the founder of FairServices during the tour. Then, you'll participate in a two-hour cooking class led by our cook Renzo and some of our single moms/Spanish teachers. While you taste the local cuisine, you can interact with the moms/teachers and meet other students, volunteers and staff. Enjoy background music and a photo display of our children's project, WaaW. Following dinner, we will also offer an introductory salsa class (depending on number of guests and interest level). Duration of the tour: 6 hours (4:45 pm- 11 pm, with salsa lessons)

We are a team of experienced teachers who love teaching Spanish and Quechua, the language of our ancestors. Our methodology is based on 100% communication. If you want to learn to speak Spanish in an easy, fun and dynamic way, our school is for you!! Come and learn by talking. Come and enjoy your lessons with us!!!
After some months of traveling through South-America i could already order taxi's and food by picking up words from locals and 1 basic Spanish class i took in The Netherlands. But whenever someone asked about my personal life i couldn't reply in Spanish or at least i couldn't make correct sentences. After 5 days of Spanish lessons, making homework after school and practicing with locals, i was able to talk about my personal life, the places i already visited and which paces i would visit after Cusco. Only then you will experience the real South-America and make many more local friends! I would recommend this Spanish School over all the others in the city because of their friendly teachers and the way they make you feel at home! Thanks Marcia for the fun and very useful lessons and thanks for learning us how to make pisco sour, i still have the recipe!

We are a Spanish language school created in 2002, our main goal is to make our students spend the best time in our school learning Spanish and doing the activities we organize for them. Our method is to adapt to the learning needs of each student.
Wiracocha is a really well organized school. The teachers are really nice, have a lot of pacience and are able to speak English if you're re lost in all the Spanish Grammer. Thanks to the small classes, your Spanish improves really fast and you can focus on the parts you want to. They also offer really fun daily activities. For example there is a free salsa lesson every Thursday, and I would really recommend going there. Even if your a really bad dancer, it's fun to do it with other students. (make sure to check out the local clubs too ????). Thanks to wiracocha I'm able to talk with the locals, so I'd highly recommend this school!

I had a great experience through Jossie, the founder and primary instructor at Nativos. She was instrumental in organizing everything for me while I was in Peru-Spanish lessons, tours and a fantastic homestay. I found Jossie to be very compassionate in her role as she was truly dedicated in ensuring that she did everything possible to make my experience in Cusco the best it could possibly be. In my opinion, she was not only an excellent Spanish teacher because she was professional but flexible in her teaching style and made learning fun. She also managed to match me up with a wonderful host family-(contact Jossie Diocelina Villanueva). I found all my Villanyeva homestay family members to also be very helpful, caring and accommodating with my personal homestay needs and diet. And to only make things better, my homestay host -Jossie always surprised me with healthy and delicious meals. Based on my overall experience with both "Jossies"- the founder of Nativos Spanish school and Jossie my Homestay host, I could highly recommend anyone looking for Spanish lessons and accommodation to consider these two women to help enlighten their Cusco experience!
