I attended school at the Barracks and it's a great place in US history. The LeTort Spring runs through the base and it adds to the greatness of Carlisle. Practice your bass catch and release in this beautiful place.

Always enjoy visiting the campus of my Alma Mater when we are in Carlisle. My most recent visits were when we were eating at restaurants in Carlisle. There are concerts, lectures, plays, etc. open to the public from time to time. The campus has changed and grown quite a bit since I graduated 40 odd years ago.

Since 1991, our family has grown, raised and produced delicious vegetables, fruits, meats, baked goods, soups and more for our community. We also offer a fun and educational place to bring the family. Visit our friendly farm animals. Activities are offered throughout the whole year. From spring make and take planting events to cut-your-own flowers in the summer and pizza parties in the garden to fall fun on the farm with pumpkin picking, hayrides and fantastic play areas, you're sure to enjoy some simple pleasures and good local foods.
Very nice enjoy Will be back lots more times, I walk around look and buy, lots of fruits and vegetables. Just good prices

Starting in 1939, Williams Grove Speedway has been one of the top sprint car tracks in the country. The speedway is a 1/2 mile banked smooth clay oval with speeds reaching in excess of 100 mph. The 2016 racing season runs from March 18th to October 7th. Our largest show, the World of Outlaws National Open pays over $300,000 in prize money. Season admission prices range from $14 to $45, discounted youth (Ages 13-20) $10-$20 and Kids 12 and under are always FREE. Special sanctioned races include the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, United States Auto Club, Super DIRTcar Series, All-Star Circuit of Champions, United Racing Club and the American Racing Drivers Club among others. Other racing divisions throughout the season include, 358 sprint cars, super sportsman, limited late models and street stocks. We strive to be a family oriented facility by hosting School's Out Night, the Math Fact Challenge and supporting many local and national charities.
Had a wonderful weekend watching sprint cars bump, grind, flip and crash!! the Williams Grove track (4/13) hosted the Tommy Hinnershitz Memorial All Star Sprints Hoosier Diamond Series. What a great race!! Lance Dewease (#69k) won!! Don't give that 87 year old a wrench!! Couple of turns here and there and voila screamin machine!!! Port Royal (4/14) hosted the Keith Kauffman Classic - All Start Circuit of Champions Sprints with a $5,000 payout!! And guess what??? Yup the 87 year old turned the wrench a few times and took home the winnings with Lance Dewease (#69k)!!! That car was on fire!! as was the driver!! You can check him out here if you have no idea who this guy is - google lance dewease!!!

We lived a block away from this park for two months and were there almost every day for one reason or another. My husband and I would walk or jog the trail and take our son on his bike. It's a lovely, easy path through farmland and along the creek. You pass by old houses and barns. It's a safe place to get out during the COVID pandemic. We also enjoyed hanging out in the park, watching the baby ducks and goslings. There are picturesque spots for picnics and enough space to social distance. My son and I liked playing Pooh Sticks on the bridge. This is my favorite place in Carlisle, for good reason.

This happened to be my childhood church 50 years ago, and when I returned for a visit to Carlisle recently i was delighted to see that it is beautifully preserved and still in use. (There is a larger, new church as well on the edge of town.) The Shrine Church is walkable from great restaurants and everything downtown Carlisle has to offer. You could stay nearby at the wonderful Carlisle House Bed and Breakfast or the Comfort Suites Downtown and never need a car at all. But visit St Patrick Church in any case, attend a service or just to look - the stained glass windows, paintings and statues are as beautiful as ever.

I love the lunch specials - the casseroles and soups are very tasty. I also love the pies - the strawberry pie and the peanut butter pie are my favorites. In the fall, I love all of the pumpkins, Indian corn, and gourds that they sell - beautiful selection.
