The Tent House features products including: hand made soaps, lavender products, live plants, as well as patchwork cushions and curtains; over-looking Lake Dunstan from a wee heritage building.
Excellent place for lavender products, bought some lavender oil and handmade soap. The owner is very friendly. Highly recommended to check it out when you are in Cromwell.

We made a somewhat impromptu visit to Remarkable wines after some recommendations and a quick phone call to Richard who generously made himself available to guide us through his list of ~ half a dozen of his beautiful, boutique wines. The majority of the grapes were sourced from the vines over which we were looking as we tasted, with a few from a vineyard Richard owns in the nearby Gibston Valley. Richard was extremely knowledgable and accommodating, giving passionate, rank-newbies like ourselves an easily digestive but very interesting walk through on how the wines were made, how to correctly tastes the wines and the factors going into these characteristics. Having visited many of the wineries around central otago, this was without a doubt one of our most enjoyed experiences, with incredible great value, award winning, wines and is definitely a must do for the bannockburn area. Thanks again, Richad.

Fibre studio and craft galley. A rainbow of colours, an array of textures, all to inspire fibre artists and crafts people who reveal (transpire) a joyful gallery of New Zealand creations. We now spotlight the creative skills of New Zealand artisans at the historic J.D. Stewart General Store ( circa 1880).

On your arrival at the big red barn you will be greeted by our friendly staff who are fluent in both english and mandarin. Glenvale Orchard and Dam Good Fruit grow 18 varieties of cherries including the white varieties which are available from early December until late February. Glenvale cherries are renowned for being delicious in flavour. We only use totally organic fertiliser so you can be assured no nasty fungisides are used on our export grade cherries. We also grow apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, peacharines, strawberries, raspberries and boysenberries which are tree ripened, picked daily and mouth-watering. The red barn is open 7 days a week from 8am - 6pm and located 56km from Queenstown, 50km from Wanaka and 3km from Cromwell. If you are unable to make it to the orchard Dam Good Fruit also has outlets in Arrowtown, Wanaka and Frankton which are open 7 Days from early December through to March. Quality and taste is our speciality - we don't export, we keep the best for you!
One of my things to do in NZ is cherry picking and thank God finally I could do it... the orchard is nice, lot of variety and the owner very kind and helpful...
