Both of us were former athletes and personalities that did not like office jobs (prime reason to start our own business). Even though so many tourists came to Paklenica just for climbing only few locals (including us) understood them, their need or better call it crave to climb. Climbing was not a sport which belonged to our local culture or tradition. Alpinism and climbing was brought to us by others in late 30's, and since then only "others" had guts and love to explore beautiful rocks and serene nature of NP Paklenica. But we changed these facts in 2010 when we opened our service shop for climbers. Paklenica Avanturist ltd. wanted to change local attitude and local people mindset towards climbing, to offer some local service to foreign climbers in our destination and that is basically what we continued doing by now. As a small team of local climbers and hikers we love to hang out with people who enjoy nature and rocks, and we love hosting them.
