Great farm. The owner was super nice and gave our group an interesting tour on historical and modern olive oil production. We had a small oil tasting. The product is of exceptional quality and very reasonably priced. A must stop when traveling the area.

As a Greek Registered non for profit charity Sanctuary we rescue old, unwanted and abandoned donkeys from Crete and other Greek Islands. On average we have about 25 donkeys... Visitors are welcome to come and visit, you may mingle with the donkeys, groom, stroke, cuddle and get the know these beautiful affectionate and intelligent animals. Children may enter under supervision of an adult. We do not have an entry charge but have a small shop selling interesting donkey items which you are welcome to buy and/or leave a donation to help us feed and care for these beautiful creatures. We do not allow smoking at the sanctuary in case of fire risk and do not have toilet facilities due to water shortages. Please note that we are closed during the winter months from November until April, but if you wish to visit please call us or send a message on FB and we can arrange a time.
Agia Marina Sanctuary is a beautiful place for traumatized donkeys to find a loving home amongst other, very well cared for goats, birds, cats, sheep, etc. The sanctuary’s founder and other volunteers, are all very helpful to answer questions and provide information on each of the animals background. So if you happen to be in the area, make sure to visit this lovely place and checkout their homemade goods and souvenirs too!

We found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to visit this place run by 2 enthousiastic people. To find the road to the farm was quite a challenge with our gps that found ways that weren't a real road. Anyway, we managed to find the small farm in the middle of nowhere and the 2 owners. We were welcomed to their garden and home and got a clear explanation of the work they do there. Stavros spoke English very well and even a mouthfull of Dutch :) We talked about the farm and lots of other things, we felt like home. Keep up the good work guys, lots of love and all the best!

Welcome to our factory. Inside our factory there is a shopping corner where you can find and buy our excellent Cretan products such as extra virgin olive oil (glass or can), carob tea, carob syrup, pure essential oils, Cretan herbs, honey, marmelade and green soap.
Had a great experience at this shop! We decided to check it out after seeing some reviews, and definitely wasn't disappointed. The owner greeted us and gave us some bread and olives to try with different Olive oils. There are also different types and size bottles, at very good prices. He showed is how the olives are processed and it was great to see the care and pride he has over the olive products!

If Gods have to choose the place for the garden of Edem, perhaps they would did it on Crete.. And if nature must plant wrists, perhaps she would did it with herbs.. On a small graphical, traditional village of Sfakia,we create our own paradise and we invite you for a guide in the world of herbs..

Later, you will have the possibility of taste some of the traditional products paired with Cretan wine. Spend your time relaxing on the front yard with the beautiful scenery.
