One of the top diving destinations in the world for its bright storybook coral reefs, the island of Cozumel is also home to a variety of natural beaches. Choose a beach with soft white sand for relaxing, or snorkel off a rockier vista. A destination for both adventure and romance, Cozumel has a year-round Caribbean climate, untrammeled jungle and abundant nightlife.

Fun wreck dive with max depth of 80’. It’s easy to penetrate due to multiple cut outs in the ship. There is an abundance of sea life on and in the wreck. Lobsters, green moray eels, and schools of fish to name a few things seen on the wreck.

Although not as popular as Chichén Itzá, these ancient Mayan ruins are noteworthy in their own right, as this is the site where Mayan women paid tribute to the goddess of love and fertility.
I'm SO happy we made a visit to San Gervasio! Get there and get yourself a tour guide to hear stories about this amazing historical site!!! We were so very fortunate to have Louie tell us about the things we saw. His story-telling is so passionate and extensive and it gave me the goosebumps a couple of times. I felt deeply connected through the story-telling and history. This place is incredible!!! If you are staying on Cozumel and torn about leaving the island to go to other Mayan sites, know that this space is well worth the visit if you want to stay on Cozumel!!

San Miguel's city center, lined with little shops, cafes and restaurants.
We loved shopping at the plaza. It was in walking distance from the cruise ship port and was maintained beautifully. There were several different photo op places featuring colorful Cozumel signage. Loved it!

Geocaching brought us to this fine park in Cozumel. It just so happened that the statue of Benito Juarez was festooned with a colorful floral display. This was because of celebrating this remarkable President's birthday. The flowers and benches in the rest of the park were attractive. The water fountain play area was obviously popular. This park is also very close to the promenade along the coast.

This is gorgeous when the fountain is running at sunset. It is by far the best sculpture we saw along the waterfront. There are others spread all along the waterfront but this one was just beautiful and our favourite. Found right in town near the ferry terminal, you can't miss and once you see you'll understand why it's one of the most photographed on the island.
