After renting bikes from Rent A Bike, I would be inclined to never rent a scooter or car again while visiting Cozumel. Everywhere I went during my 2 week stay was made better with riding the bike; even the 1 hour ride to Mr. Sancho's for my weekly visit there. The bikes worked almost perfectly for the entire stay. I had a flat tire on the way to the marina one morning and immediately contacted Caitlen. I walked my bike the short distance left to the boat, parked the bike and went diving. On my return the wheel or tire had been replaced with a new one. Every time I had a question and messaged Caitlen, I received a fast and effective response. Kudos! After a couple of days, I wanted to swap my bike for one with different gearing. No problem! The sweet and helpful Guadalupe delivered and set up a Specialized Sirrus which was perfect for me! I cannot say enough great things about Rent A Bike Cozumel. Using a bike to maneuver Cozumel makes a visit so much more enjoyable and Rent A Bike Cozumel does a great job if helping to make that happen!

This is our Second time riding in Cozumel with Sombrero Rental bikes. The first time we rode with Roger. This time we ride by ourselves. Roger is always helpful and available with any questions about the Cozumel course and bikes. Pick up and drop off of the bikes was easy. The bike course is the same as the Ironman course with beautiful scenery of the beach. There is no way of getting lost since you ride around almost the whole island. The bikes are all Carbon Fiber with choice of Kestrel Road bikes or Quintana Roo Tri bikes to choose from. They supply the helmets if you didn’t bring your own. Water bottles for the ride. It is recommended to bring you clipless petals and shoes with you. Roger does have clipless petals but they might not be compatible with your shoes. Roger has Massage and Restaurant Recommendation for after the ride. It was a great ride. The only problem is that we couldn’t get a second ride on this trip. Our vacation was too short. Highly recommended Sombrero Rentals. If you are in the Playa Mujeres, Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Tulum area and you have an itch to ride during your vacation, Sombrero Rentals in Cozumel is the best remedy.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we visited Pipian Scooter rentals. From the Ultramar walk on ferry terminal it's only a 3-4 minute walk. Jesus, the owner is not agressive or hounding you on the street. He is very thorough on all the paperwork. He charges a fair rate $30Usd for a double scooter, $10usd for the extra insurance, for a 24 hour period. Jesus inspected the scooter for any damage and marked it clearly on the sheet. He showed us a map of Cozumel and told us exactly how to get around the island, and get back to his shop, including where to tank up for gas. He circled some highlights and recommended a few bars. We went to the East side first and stopped at Rasta's Bar for a $3usd beer, and then Alberto's for $3usd beer and $10usd fish tacos. We felt really good about our trip into Cozumel and renting scooters from Jesus and Pipian went super smoothly.

We will provide full equipment and the guide will lead you on a safe tour. We’ve got tables lined up for you at one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants on the island. After lunch, we will cruise onward towards the store front downtown. Once we have returned, the guided portion of the tour would be over. You are more than welcome to take the scooter and do a little more exploring yourself. There are a few sites downtown that you don’t want to miss, like the Corpus Cristi church, the local Market and the Local Museum. Please book in advance because we have limited space. We have daily departures from our store front.
