Currently closed as it is undergoing a restructure and renovations. The former Cowwarr Butter Factory built in 1918 is architecturally significant as a rare example of an industrial building employing Federation Arts & Crafts design traditions. It is set in park like grounds in the small community of Cowwarr in the heart of Gippsland Victoria adjoining the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail.

I have need going to the weir for years and years and it is always spectacular! Usually warmed up by the sun in summer, it is a pleasant place for a picnic! Toilets are currently under renovation (there are porta potties tho). Just make sure you take your RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU!! As there are no bins here,and to pick up after your dog... Usually very clean, but occasionally someone doesn't abide by the clear sign on the way in.
