There are several walks up and down through the forest here, but the walk along the gorge is the highlight! Really great. Recommend using the Argyll Forest Park Map and Trail guide which is free to access online on the Scottish forestry and land website. This also shows where to park and facilities.

Not 10 minutes out of Dunoon lies Historic Kilmun, with its Mausoleum sheltering 500 years of Campbell Chiefs. From St Fintan Munnu in the 6th century to the working church of today, there has been worship here for over 1400 years. See our newly opened Visitor Centre, the beautiful Princess Louise Sculpture, and take a tour with our guides to learn of remarkable lives that shaped Scottish history.
Great piece of old history, the roots of how religion came about in this country( not religious but love history) was great for the young children they enjoyed the natural beauty of the area.

In a magnificent mountainside setting on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll lies Benmore, an enchanting Garden steeped in history and surrounded by dramatic scenery.
I'd wanted to visit these gardens since seeing them on Gardeners World and they were even better than I'd hoped. Beautiful trees, quiet space, lovely walks, red squirrels, interesting features around the gardens including a restored Victorian fernery on a hillside. Not to be missed.

Castle House Museum gives you the opportunity to discover the interesting history of Dunoon and surrounding areas. With views of the Clyde second to none, we host an extensive and fascinating range of exhibits spanning from the early days of the town up to modern times.
We spent a really great time in the Castle House Museum. We were visiting Dunoon in a bit of a nostalgic return having spent many summer holidays there as a child staying grandparents. John gave us a warm welcome and provided excellent advice and help and was the perfect person for the job. His wealth of local knowledge was matched by his knowledge of the contents of the museum and he was very helpful and went out of his way to help answer some queries we had.

*BOOKING ESSENTIAL* A tour set in the grounds of Dunans Castle. A-listed bridge, B-listed castle and a fantastic restoration project set in wonderful policies. Booking is necessary so that we continue to comply with our public liability insurance and keep our visitors safe when onsite.
This property was historically owned and concurred by many different clans. It is a must-see while in Scotland not far from Glasgow Airport. The history here goes back hundreds of years. The remnants of the castle that currently stands was conquered by the Sinclair and Campbell family. Originally the property was where the Gordon Clan roomed and prospered. I'm a descendant of the Gordon Clan so it is amazing to own a plot and see the beautiful botanical Gardens and trout streams there are still a natural resource to this land. The current owners who care for the land and are working on restoration of the castle are family oriented and amazing polite people. I highly enjoyed my visit and I'm anticipating the full restoration of this beautiful castle and its historical history. I invite you to purchase a plot of the castle or a plot of land to help with the restoration costs of the castle.

Just home after a viewing of the stage version of The King and I, and what a lovely afternoon. Very safe environment, lots of social distancing measures, staff lovely and accommodating. Would not hesitate to return and would encourage everyone to go along. So nice to be out for some fun and relaxation during these times. Well done to Studio Cinema and thank you from a local.
