Bike Park Ireland

Bike Park Ireland is the first official mountain bike park in Ireland offering everyone from beginners to pro's the opportunity to have an action packed day out. With 8 downhill trails to choose from, a seriously cool uplift service, the largest pump track in the country, you will find it hard to contain your smile. We are a family run business and the bike park is entirely on private grounds and it's quite simply the best place in Ireland to come and have fun on a mountain bike. If you have all the gear and a bike, great, bring it - if you don't have anything, that's fine too because we have it all here for you to hire, just bring a pair of shoes with grips and we will take care of the rest. We cannot over emphasise the fact that anyone that can ride a bike will have loads of fun here. We have a large fleet of superb Kona bikes for hire, including helmets and pads, a class cafe called The Mucky Boot Cafe which serves homemade hot food all day. If your not into biking that's fine too as we have a lovely walk to the top of the trails where you can see as many as 8 county's. Our bike park is very family friendly and kids of all ages will spend hours playing around on bikes and lets face it there's a kid in all of us and we all just want to play on bikes every now and then!!!

I have often climbed the Devil’s Bit but the best way to explore and admire the mountain is from the saddle. Maura, Christy, Caoimhe and the gang gave my friends and I an unforgettable day out. The trails were magical, the views were amazing, and the craic was mighty!! We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again. The best part is you don’t need to have riding experience as Maura and Christy cater for riders of all levels. Such a fun and exhilarating day out, I would recommend it to everyone.

Marfield Lake

Reviewed By MatthewW3632 - Callan, Ireland

This is a beautiful man made lake that is teeming with wild life. A must for any bird lover. If you just want somewhere peaceful to walk with the family and feed the ducks it ticks that box too. The roadway is a public road but is one way and is fairly quiet. The lake is located a short walk from the historic Marfield village which is also very picturesque

Devil's Bit

Reviewed By Fran-Maria - Tipperary, Ireland

The view from the top is amazing. There is a Tower on the way up as another attraction. On a clear day you can view the Shannon. I would recommend that you have comfortable footwear and flat heals for the ladies. If you have Binoculars bring them with you. The road to the carpark is winding so take your time and go extra slow on the decent.

Mitchelstown Cave

One of europes major showcaves, discovered in 1833 by michael condon who was quarrying limestone when his crowbar slipped into a crevasse. He removed a few boulders to retrieve the bar, next minute he found himself looking down into a vast network of passages and caverns. In order to protect the caves natural state guided tours were quickly organised. Tours were conducted through the cave by candlelight untill 1972 when it was the first cave in Ireland to be electrified. Today on the guided tour you visit three massive caverns in which you are surrounded by indescribable dripstone formations and one of europes finest columns the inspiring Tower of Babel which stands some 9m in height. Mitchelstown Cave is situated midway between Cahir and Mitchelstown. Take exits 11 or 12 on the M8. Sat Nav. DMS 52,18'20.7" 8, 06' 31.4"W Minimum 2 adults for a tour.

Myself and my husband have just visited this attraction. We pre booked which is recommended in these times. We were very impressed with the swift registration and admission. There was antibacterial gel provided (covid-19) provided at admission desk. After a short walk up a small incline we were met by Kate our guide at the entrance to the cave. Small steep steps took us down into 3 seperate caverns where Kate explained how it was created. We really enjoy the visit and Kate answered questions clearly and in a way that was easily understood by all ages. Well worth a visit!
