The museum has a huge amount of photos, signs, a model railway and general railway materials from the early part of the last century. It is definitely worth a visit.

Lough Navar Forest Viewpoint

Reviewed By 45douglash - Ballymena, United Kingdom

I planned to visit this viewpoint and so sought directions as to it's location as most people would do. The entrance is sign posted as well. There is a very good leaflet to be had from the Tourist Information Centre in Enniskillen that gives you well explained details entitled Lough Navar Forest Drive and it was very helpful in respect of the seven (7) main points of interest and how to get to them either by car or, with some, on foot. This is a seven mile long drive that has been created to allow the public to enjoy the scenery within the forest area. Magho Cliffs, at a height of 1,000 ft as a viewpoint is one of the best I've seen and we were lucky to be there on a warm sunny day to see a bird's eye view of Lower Lough Erne and its islands. To the East are the rounded Sperrin Mountains, to the North lie the Blue Stack Mountains in Donegal while to the West there is Slieve League, Donegal Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Cladagh Glen Walk

Reviewed By 502deef

We did this walk yesterday, as a guided tour from the Marbel Arch caves visitor center. The tour was called, 'Unlocking the Hidden Worlds of the Cladagh Glen guided walk' It was brilliant, our tour Guide Ian, talked us through the foliage and Fauna, the geology of the area, the fallen caves and how Neolithic man could have made mistakes with their thinking, the tour was fascinating. We ended up at a waterfall, which was amazing, great photos, great day out for family and well worth the few bob. Had we not come across this tour online, we would have missed out on all added information to the walk. Our experience was very much enhanced by booking this tour.

Florence Court

Beautiful 18th-century home set on a sustainable estate and gardens. Surrounded by lush parkland and thick woodland with Benaughlin mountain rising in the background, Florence Court enjoys a majestic countryside setting in West Fermanagh. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this extensive and welcoming place. On a guided tour of the Georgian mansion you can hear stories about the Cole family and their staff, who lived here for over 250 years. Outdoors take a gentle walk or long cycle along 10 miles of trails in the adjoining forest park and see fascinating industrial heritage features, including the water-powered sawmill and blacksmith's forge. The gardens are home to the mother of all Irish yew trees, as well as the kitchen garden which is being restored to its 1930s character.

Beautiful grounds with plenty of walks and probably one of the best House tours I've had. Would definitely recommend. We are members but it's well worth the entrance fee.

Finally got the time to visit this island and it was worth the trip. Got the ferry from trory jetty (5mins outside Enniskillen on the A32 towards Irvinestown) ferry cost only £5 per person with regular crossings. The island has a long history as a monastery site with one of the few complete round towers left in ireland with lovely views of lower lough Erne.

Monea Castle

Reviewed By geographyguy_11

Monea Castle is a bit surreal to visit. You can wander right in the middle of the ruined castle keep. You can see where staircases and chimneys used to be; distinguish where each floor used to sit; wander between what would have been separate rooms and admire the super thick walls and impressive stonework. It is well signposted and easy to find, making a visit a must-do.
