The Irish Dance Party

The Irish Dance Party is one of Dublin’s best loved experiences where you get to see and hear top class live Irish music and dancing by award winning performers. Not only that, but true to the Irish spirit, everybody gets to give the dancing a go themselves. It is a 2 hour event. Seated at your own reserved table between dances, there is ample time to sit back and enjoy the entertainment with a beverage of your choice. Your charismatic and talented Irish music and dance entertainers will see to it that there is never a dull moment. It doesn't get any more Irish than that!

I went to this shop on the recommendation of Tripadvisor and I could not have been more pleased. Tucked into a Victorian shopping center in the Grafton St. area, the shop has lots of space and light for really enjoying the fine colors and wools. They have a good selection of Irish-milled wools, and I chose two colors from their in-house brand, which the daughter of the mother-daughter staff team dyes herself. We had a nice lunch downstairs in the shopping center, and they were kind enough to wind the wool for me while we ate. Lovely shop, and if I lived in Dublin I'd try to convince them to hold knitting evenings for sure! (If they don't already.) Tip: They are open on Sundays in the Fall and Winter--check their hours for your visit.

So my other half came had been in to look at items in the shop as she works near by, and came up with the idea that we make each others wedding rings. I thought it a nice idea and was happy enough to give it a go, but thought we would end up with somthing awful. However.... Ed is a fantastic teacher, and we ended up coming away with exactly what we wanted for rings. He was extremely paitent, and most importantly has a great sense of humor with lots of good stories. Hes a total gentleman and a true craftsman and artist. Id recommend anyone to do his courses. Theres also some beautiful pieces for sale in the shop, well worth a visit. Ask for the coffee, and ignore the sign! :) :)

A chairde, I attended the Weber essentials cookery course yesterday afternoon and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It was very informative and relaxed and the programme was perfectly pitched. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone with an interest in cooking on the BBQ. Our chef for the day, Johan, was very professional and friendly throughout and his expertise contributed in no small way to the enjoyment of the day. Míle buíochas, Séamus
