Cottage Theatre delights audiences with its year-round season of plays and musicals. The theatre presents six to eight productions annually, each of which runs for 3 or 4 weeks. The theatre also offers summer theatre camps for children. From humble beginnings under a parachute in 1982, Cottage Theatre now boasts a state-of-the-art facility that was built in 1998 and expanded in 2006.

We stopped by the Chambers Railroad Bridge on our tour of the covered bridges in and near Cottage Grove. The Chambers Bridge has the best information, both in signage inside the bridge itself and in a series of informative displays on the eastern end of the bridge. This is nice, quick stop to learn about the history of the area.

We visited in late summer 2018. Tonight in December 2020 we finished our last bottle of 2016 Oregon Chardonnay which is a beautiful wine to enjoy. Sure wish they shipped to locations other than Oregon and Washington. We are not wine connoisseurs but simply enjoy a glass occasionally. We were driving around the Willamette Valley and found Saginaw Vineyard. They might bring me back to Oregon!

Beauty all around you on this bike path. Start in town and take it all the way up to Dorena Lake, with spots to stop and jump in the creek all along the way.

Hard to believe almost a century ago the Little General was filmed nearby and murals capture history. Lots of fine little antique stores and restaurants as well.
