Musee de Cotignac Autrefois et Aujourd'hui

The museum conserves everyday objects that were used until the middle of the twentieth century in Cotignac, a Provencal village. Activities of the Museum include: * Cultural excursions in Provence * Historical talks, research * Collaboration with other associations * Creating village archives * Selling traditional mulled wine sold during La Fete du Coing * Provencal language courses

This museum gives you a great insight into the history of Cotignac and its Provencal traditions. Although small in stature it is is mighty on history and interesting local stories. I've visited a few times over the last few years and the museum has recently found a new lease of life with new exhibits, great attention to detail and even air conditioning. Well worth a visit and the chance to support this enthusiastic community driven enterprise.

Worth the walk to see a beautiful spot and plenty of wildlife. Apparently the main Rocher in the village was a waterfall until the villagers diverted the waters for irrigation
