Welcome to our rural community based tourism program. Playa Hermosa is located on road 34, 6km north from Uvita and 14km south from Dominical. We offer several tours such as Hiking in the Rainforest, Bird Oberservation, Cookings Classes, a Pre-columbian Chocolate Tour and a Medicial Plants Tour. Thus, in our community, you can learn first-hand about the local culture and exuberant wildlife of the Playa HermOSA Eco-Reserve. With some luck, you can watch the humpback whales which come to these warm waters to give birth to their offspring, from the mountain viewpoint,. You can also view the whale's tail formation that appears at low tide in Marino Ballena National Park, and enjoy daily activities alongside cheerful locals. You are invited to enjoy activities that integrate conservation of nature and environmental protection, and the cultural experience of spending time with kind, authentic people who will do their best to share their customs and way of life.

Anytime we visit the Jaco area we stop at the Mirador. It's basically a lookout area that has the entire Jaco beach coastline for your photographic pleasure. They also have Jaco Beach in big letters so you can take a cool selfie.

It‘s a steep and exhausting 2 hours hike to go up. Anyways, you get rewarded with a view over the rainforest and really cool 1 hour loop through the jungle. Absolutely recommended!
