The Cafe Monteverde tour offers a glimpse of authentic, rural Costa Rican life, and it introduces visitors to the coffee production process, from the original seed to when its poured fresh into a cup. Cafe Monteverde, represents the country's progressive environmental sustainability and community development initiatives.
Café Monteverde is a great little coffee shop right in the center of downtown Santa Elena (the heart of Monteverde).. There are so many cafés to choose from here, but after visiting this location once we were sold! The owner and his staff are not only warm and friendly, but they’re all very knowledgeable about the processes of coffee growing and brewing and they shared many interesting facts about the local traditions and techniques.. My Spanish is still pretty basic but communicating with the staff here was easy and comfortable.. Their coffee and tea selection is top notch and their pastries and baked goods are easily some of the best in town.. Even their prices are fair!! All in all this is a great shop to visit if you want to grab a coffee and chill in town..

Beautiful fully equipped CrossFit box under the mango trees on Playa Potrero, open 7 days a week to members and visitors. Drop by for a unique workout experience, often watched by the local howler monkeys and iguanas, and enjoy the most delicious local espresso and smoothies at our coffee & juice bar.
Absolutely love going to the Surfside box! Friendly coaches who quickly become great friends, open air, the occasional cows and iguanas wandering by, awesome community, and my favorite place to be most nights of the week!

Local chocolate boutique, coffee shop and bar. Visit our website and book online a chocolate experience! Located in the heart of the village of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca — Costa Rica, Choco is a concept bringing together different local producers of artisanal chocolate. At once a boutique, an information centre and a tasting venue, come and get your hands on these fine chocolates (more than 80 flavors), learn more about their different producers and discover our chocolate-alcohol pairings. Enjoy our chocolates and rums, chocolates and wines or chocolates and craft beers pairings for exemple. Don’t miss our homemade hot chocolate or our 100% local coffee.
After being a little tired of the noise, chaos and general untidiness of Puerto Viejo it was a treat to unexpectedly walk into a little piece of chocolate heaven. The room is very inviting and the different opportunities for chocolate are very well structured. I treated myself to a coffee and chocolate tasting menu. The coffee was a strong Costa Rican version (I had a latte) and then three very different local chocolate tastings. It was all introduced with care by the lovely lady. To top it all, they had a nice chocolate lounge playlist to support the sweet vibe. I will be here every chance I get. ❤️
