A friend of ours who lives in Playa Flamingo had recommended Lazy Lizard’s sunset catamaran tour and it sure did not disappoint!! Our crew was extremely kind and accommodating, they picked us up from our condo and on the boat they always made sure we had a drink in our hand. The snorkeling was unbelievable, the water was clear enough to see hundreds of different species of fish, sea urchins and our one tour guide in the water pointed out a blue puffer fish and other kinds of sea life. They also served us a delicious taco dinner and we ended the tour by watching the sunset on the way back to the dock. This tour is a must do if you’re in the Playa Flamingo area!

Every time we come through San Jose we make sure and do 1 if not more tours with Carpe Chepe. The walking tour is fantastic and full of History. The Pub and Craft Beer tours take you to places only the locals know and that we would have probably never stumbled upon. San Jose and Costa Rica have a great craft beer scene and as any Costa Rican visitor knows, amazing food. These folks can be trusted with time and taste.

We went out on the Sunny One. Our captain Brian and crew Will and Jeremy were outstanding. They continuously made sure we were doing well and worked nonstop to keep rigs set. And the catch was incredible! Eight sail fish plus a wahoo plus others. We were given the option to go farther out to catch tuna after we had our fill of Sailfish. Would definitely recommend this trip and this boat.

We joined the pub crawl mid February with visiting friends from Argentina, the United States, Italy and The Philippines. It was a great way to spend time together, have our guests see some of San José, and learn more about Costa Rica from locals. We had previously joined Carpe Chepe for the free city tour, and since we had a good time then, we decided to sign up for this pub crawl. We were not disappointed. All of our friends enjoyed themselves and we got to discover some new places ourselves as well. We visited different bars and didn't have to wait in line at any of the these places. This was really nice because some of the bars had lots of people lined up outside waiting for their turn to go inside. The guides were very friendly, bilingual, and made sure everyone enjoyed their night out. They seemed to be having a good time themselves as well and they kinda just felt like part of our group! It sometimes took a while to get drinks, but other than that we had zero complaints. We would definitely sign up for this pub crawl again in the future, or try one of the other tours that Carpe Chepe offers. If you're looking for a fun night out, this is it!
