Adventure to the unique site of Kohunlich, once the center of commerce and politics of the region. This is a less visited site but it is probably the most important for archaeologists as it has a original style of achitecture and many different buildings open to the sight. Admire the monumental masks portraying the ancient royalty of the clasical maya period. Immerse in the lush jungle of corozo trees and amazing tropical trees. Great opportunity to see wildlife.

Inclusions: Unlimited cold bottled waters and soda are included, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes, Air-conditioned vehicle, Fresh seasonal fruit snacks

The tour started at the port in a small van, but the van wasn’t that nice like other tour groups use (close seats, etc). The tour guide was attentive and narrated the ride to the site in passable English. Glad we weren’t in a big bus tour, as our party of 10 could move around and avoid the mobs.

As soon as your cruiseship arrives to Costa Maya Port, travel through history and let us guide you during your adventure in one of the least explored archeological sites in the Maya Zone and let yourself be surprised by the incredible monuments surrounded by jungle. During this tour of the Mayan city of Chacchoben, you will get to know the ancient residences of the nobles, the ancient ceremonial centers, walk through the jungle and admire the architecture of this great civilization while a certified guide explains in detail the history and secrets of this ancient city. Relive the passage of the Mayan priests and Mayan chiefs walking the steps to the top of the piramids and let yourself be impressed by the immensity of the jungle from above. During your adventure, you will also learn about local plants, observe endemic birds, a large population of spider monkeys and listen to the legends that gave origin to this city. We recommend this tour if you visit Costa Maya for the first time.

It was our first time paddle boarding and we really enjoyed the experience. The guide was helpful and taught us how it is done. We arrived at the beach just before sunset and he prepared the boards and put the led lights under them. We really enjoyed the sunset view as we paddled out. Once it was dark, we turned on the led lights and we could see clearly the coral reef beneath us. There where so many stars in the sky! We turned the lights off and even saw bioluminescence as we paddled through the tranquil water. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable moment. We will do it again upon our next visit

Paulina was the star of this show. Her prompt and smiling service was without a doubt the glue that bond together a good beach club experience and dinner trough a 3 night stay. (We had breakfast in three different places but here since we are early runners, so picked up fresh made juices from Inés juicery 3 blocks from Pez Quadro\40 Canones Hotel) The hotel by itself got the best shape beach around. Sargazo (sargassum) is always a “threat” but not alway so present. We are lucky to see none of it (oct 2-6) and Paulina bringing promptly octopus and shrimp Cebiche as good as Noohoch Kay one (restaurant next door well ranked). Creamy guacamole, chips and cold beer to fill up our tumblers synthesize the therapy. Dinner was a surprise because we expected next to nothing. We were wrong, porcinni and seafood risotto was on point both texture and delicate flavor enough to allow seafood to shine. We had as an entree “Octopus dorado” pan fried in garlic olive oil, with sun-dried tomatoes, spring onions, black olives: great flavor but texture not as great of the fresh octopus ceviche at the beach club. This is our third visit in the last two years, we always had avoided their restaurant service since the first experience was one not to be mentioned. So this was a great surprise. We are looking forward to return and meet again with smiley Paulina.

Very good experience to some of the lesser known mayan ruins. The place was almost desolated and we could enjoy the ruins with only the jungle sounds. Our guide Alondra was knowledgeable and nice, and the transport was clean and on time. Highly recomended
