Bridal Veil Falls State Park

Reviewed By Davigeta - Saint Louis, United States

This place is a park, with rest rooms and a 2/3 mile round trip hike to the waterfalls. The last part is up and down stairs with no railing. I have some medical issues, and almost fell down the staircase due to a lack of railing near the top! If you're in good shape, no worries. The waterfall itself is very pretty. When we were there, we ran into a woman dressed as a "land shark" dancing near the base of the waterfall! Pretty silly, but cute.

Rooster Rock State Park

Reviewed By yonghan001 - Pompano Beach, United States

One of the very few clothing optional beaches in our country, Rooster Rock State Park is also known for its sandy beaches and extremely beautiful surroundings. Here, Columbia River is rather wide so that water is smooth; walking in the shallow water as the gentle wind kisses your face, it is delightful to cool off during the summer hot day. At the east end of the park is the Sand Island where you will see some sand dunes as high as 40 feet. This part of the beach is even more peaceful as it is more than a mile from the park’s entrance although the trails have minimum vertical changes. I saw a few osprey nests where adult birds were busy feeding their babies. I also saw a few Great Blue Herons that were feeding in nearby ponds. Parking is plentiful. Day pass of $5.00 is required. Highly recommended.
