What to do and see in Copenhagen, Zealand: The Best Hop-On Hop-Off Tours

February 7, 2022 Alice Mieles

Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

In general a very nice boat trip, with a host that gave good information and tried to engage the passengers in his story. The guide Teddy gave information in Danish and English. We had to focus very well on what he was saying, because he had quite a strong Danish accent, but we could understand him nonetheless. Sometimes he seemed to give a bit more information in Danish though, so it seemed like we (not understanding Danish) sometimes missed some of the info he gave which was unfortunate. Would recommend if you’re looking for a nice and relaxing boat tour that shows you some important, fun and characterizing aspects of Copenhagen. Always nice to explore a city from the water!
