Made welcome by the excellent caretaker who gave us a guided tour. Knowledgeable and friendly. He looks after the graveyard and garden as well, and it is in good condition as are the graves.

Droog Fort

Reviewed By ottos480 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands

We had a great experience with Julius Kingsley. We were planning to go to Droog Fort, but the Forest Department closed the area, apparently to protect wildlife. Kingsley provided is with an alternative. He developed a new route himself in the same area as Droog Fort, but without going to the fort. Instead he takes you into the tea plantation to a remote hilltop tribal village. And during the walk here tells a lot about tea, trees, birds and bison. And with him it's very easy to make contact with local people. He's very knowledgeable and very friendly. And his English is very good. The walk took some 4 hours. I can totally recommend Kinsley.

Highfield Tea Factory

Our excellent guide was very knowledgable about the whole process of preparing different types of tea & chai. All the processes were underway when we visited in January. At the end of the trip you can try each kind and take a look at essential oil and chocolate production. I came away with a deep appreciation of the work involved in our daily cuppa!
