Inside this museum is a little train track that's interesting to see and fun to watch. The person behind the counter is pretty knowledgeable about the area and some of the history. You can also go outside and explore the train that's parked nearby. It's interesting and a lot of fun to explore, especially for the history buff or the train enthusiast in your family!

Dogwood Park was the vision of several city leaders, but our current mayor is at the TOP of my list for actual community use of the park and surrounding areas. This park is the site for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, which also has the annual ice skating "rink",Walk your Dog, outdoor Friday night movies in the spring & summer, Fourth of July's "Slip & Slide" which starts at the square and ends at Dogwood Park, Weddings, a fantastic age appropriate playground, and a TOTALLY awesome water "play fountain". These are just a few of the activities and events held at Dogwood Park. Our community is VERY fortunate to have such a wonderful venue !!!

Some friends took us for our first visit to the store last week when we were passing through the area. Very friendly staff. Lots of sweet treats from the "bloopers" that you can get on discount to the delicious in season candy apples, all make tasty treats for yourself or friends. And based on your purchases, you can also earn free treats!

Red Silo Brewing Company is Cookeville first micro brewery located in the historical westside of Cookeville.
Getting a little frustrated with management of this place! Using misleading advertising like $1 drafts, then after a few, finding they meant $1 off a draft. Noticed all history of this offer on FB was deleted. This happened the day of opening of a competitor's brewpub! Very bad customer service. Customer is always wrong here!

This is a small, local-history museum. It's not going to be 50 rooms of dinosaurs and Egyptian treasure. As long as you know that, you should enjoy it. Docents are happy to talk to you and kids. Various specialty events happening often. Exhibits change frequently for a place this size. Good way to spend an hour.

The Hix Farm Brewery is a nano brewery located in the Westside Business District in Cookeville, TN.
Congratulations on a fun and successful Grand Opening. Really liked the June Bug Kolsch and the Drunk Monk Tripel was my favorite. I am a fan of the light beers and my husband likes the dark beers. His favorite was the Papa's peculiar percolation. There is something for everyone here.

This waterfall is about 15 minutes north of Cookeville Tennessee in a fairly remote area. A short trail leads from the gravel road to a nice view of the falls. Another trail leads to the base of the falls. Not that tall, the length and volume of water over the falls is impressive. Recommend if you're in the area.
