This linear park is a well-done gem. A lot of the path seems somewhat secluded, but you're really just a couple of minutes from the heart of the town. On one end is a wonderful green space / park that has a kid's playground and an outdoor concert area. Restrooms are located in this area as well. The trail makes a circular path through this park, returning you to where you started. It's almost like an island in that it's pretty well bordered by water on at least a couple of sides. While the daytime experience was great, I felt like I wanted to be out of there by dark. (It's probably safe even after dark, but I just didn't really feel comfortable being there after dark since I wasn't really familiar with the area. Come to think of it, I don't even know what the hours are -- it may close at dark.) Wear comfortable shoes and allot plenty enough time to walk the entire trail. I made a round trip in about an hour, and that was at a saunter.

Yesterday, we attended the sold out performance of Catch Me If You Can. It was excellent. This was the second production I have gotten to see and the fourth one for my wife. How lucky we are to have such a quality local theater so nearby. Every aspect of what they do in this small venue is top notch. The actors, staging, lighting and choreography is of equal quality to an off Broadway shows we have seen.

This free museum is in a beautifully renovated 1905 school. As you enter there is a large round aquarium, surrounded by a stunning spiral staircase to the second floor. Exhibits include history, geography, business. Many arifacts including a silver plate owned by Hitler. There are regularly scheduled programs. We heard an excellent talk on sculptures related to the military and saw an hour long documentary on the Pilgrims.
Building is magnificent. Red brick with impressive granite keystones over every window and an ornate entrance. It is closed on Sunday and Monday. It is next to the library and there is free parking.

Absolutely loved showing my daughter, and grandson the way I grew up. Unfortunately, the whole family was not able to go with us. From the house showing the everyday living, to the gathering and curing of tobacco was the way I grew up. My grandson loved the animas!!

Great park that just opened in Conway. Has hiking trail, biking trails, picnic areas, and a disc golf course! Situated along and through a blackwater cypress swamp the observation decks allow for unique views of the swamp and it's wildlife. Great placwe to visit if you are looking for a break from the beach or just want to get away for a short time.

This 10,000 square foot building offers collectibles, shabby chic, furniture, and some handmade items. A couple of the booths were very cluttered making it hard to move around or hard to see everything (we just bypass those) but mostly it was very easy to get around.

If the rows on the first floor weren't so tight in this place it would have gotten a higher score. I was afraid I would just turn around and knock something over. It's definitely worth a stop though. It's full of some fun treasures (a few less now because we walked out with some).

My wife and I volunteered to help our grandson's kindergarten teacher handle the kids on this visit to the farm. On the surface, it looks like a lot of fun. But there were a number of areas that needed to be addressed.
First, there were at least six busloads of kids from several schools. But only two bathrooms....think long lines of kids who really, really have to go.
Next, play areas included some old tires, a large bouncy area, an old tractor, a large "sandbox" full of corn, some old handle-style pumps to use to float rubber duckies, etc.
Kids had all sorts of bumps and bruises from jumping, etc. One large cut and some pinched fingers from the pumps. Wet feet because there was a big puddle next to the pumps. I didn't see anything in the way of first aid but fortunately had bandages, etc. in my car.
"Hayride" was a large wagon. A bit bouncy for rambunctious kids who would not always sit down. We each had a cup of food for the cattle. However there were several cows with long horns that were dangerous to small children leaning over the edge of a wagon.
There was an area where the kids received a lecture. It didn't work because the noise level from the kids playing next to it made it impossible to hear what the lecturer was saying.
Picnic area worked well. Parking area was a bit hazardous with so many kids running around. Kids got to pick pumpkins/gourds from large bins but the smaller children could not reach.
It's a nice idea...and I can understand that it is a means for the family to keep their farm going. But I would really not recommend it unless they can address safety issues.

This was a fun place to go through. It offers a little bit of everything. We walked out with a Duff Beer can (from the Simpsons) for the man cave. I think it will fit in perfectly with everything else down there. A couple of the booths were cluttered but other than that it was easy to get around. They had a set of beautiful blue tinted wine/champagne/cordial glasses that I loved but our hutch in the dining room is full of biscuit barrels.

At Anderson Farms, we are here to take care of you! We offer our facility for birthday parties, group tours, corporate events, family reunions and everything in between. We also have an archery course for the bow enthusiast! You can spend some time fishing, feeding chicken, take hay rides or just enjoy the great outdoors. Plan to spend some time on the farm when you are in South Carolina!
Nice folks with a beautiful farm supplying veggies all over town especially at their restaurant Magnolia's in Myrtle Beach.
