This was our first snowmobile experience. We have ridden our motorcycle to 47 of the lower 48 States, with over 750,000 miles in the saddle, so I was pretty sure this was within my abilities. I made our reservation on line, & Lois from Swan Mtn called to follow up to insure we had all the bases covered. We elected to take the clothing option as we were flying in. We brought our base, silks & thermals with fleece pants & vests. Wish I had bought my motorcycle gloves instead of the ski gloves I did bring, oh well. We arrived on time for our half day guided tour, Hannah got us fitted with outer clothes & helmets & lead us to the trail head. There we met Cooper our guide. Hannah reviewed the operation of the sled & safety issues. Cooper selected our sleds, told us about the trail & off we went. The trails were challenging to me as a newbie, especially not counter-steering like the motorcycle. I spilled us twice due to not carrying enough speed through 2 turns, but Cooper was right there to pull us up & get us going again. This was our first time on a sled & after 30-45 minutes I got the hang of it. So what does it boil down to? Cooper, our guide, did a fantastic job of gearing our speed to our slowest rider but still kept it challenging for me, nothing like the need for speed even at 64! He was right there when we needed him, & his instruction built my confidence. I was comfortable with a very tight, 3-Point turn without getting off the machine. The downside, time went by too fast! Next time a full day. Great job by Cooper & Hannah. As a first timer I would not hesitate to suggest my children ride with the Swan Mountain gang!

My family was blessed beyond measure to work with Tom and Reuben during our recent trip to Glacier! They run a great operation and Reuben made sure we had the cleanest Jeep in town. They also helped us plan a variety of things to do in and around Glacier National Park. We were able to have amazing adventures in a Jeep thanks to this dynamic duo. Looking forward to our next visit!
