After a beautiful weekend visiting Connecticut wineries with friends, I talked my husband into trying some local ones. We happened upon 4JG’s, despite living about a mile away for the last 15 years, and couldn’t have been more impressed with their wines. As I am writing this, I am enjoying one bottle of the two cases we brought home with us...The Cayuga White. I would never of guessed NJ wine could be this good. Honestly. And I’m picky. Very picky. The owner was informative, friendly and just really made us feel that much better about buying local. The whole staff, really. Just a bunch of nice people doing what they enjoy. Nothing but smiles everywhere, Hellos, delivering wine to our table...so kind. The atmosphere was exactly what you want from a winery- open sky, green grass, trees all around in the distance, farm house, fire pit, CLEAN...you can wander the property and trails with your wine...just a great experience. I’m so glad we found it and just a little disappointed we have to wait until next season to do it again. (We will be buying through their pickup though until then. That’s for sure!) Literally every wine we tasted was excellent. I’m not kidding. Every one. (We only didn’t taste two of them)
