Private dance classes 7 days a week, 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM depending on the availability of instructors, in person and online via Google Meet and Zoom (Salsa, Bachata, Tango, Kizomba, Merengue, Hip Hop and more). Nightly group dance classes, Monday through Saturday starting at 8:00 PM. Language exchanges every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM via Zoom. Bar for Salsa, Bachata and more every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until as late as 4:00 AM.
Dance Free is my favorite place for Spanish-English language exchanges and dance classes. They have amazing teachers and staff who are super friendly and energetic. The language exchanges are so much fun! I love that I get to meet people from different parts of the world. Their Salsa and Bachata dance classes are the best. I’ve learned so many cool moves! Thank you so much Dance Free!!

Students and gringos eye each other up and get happily trashed in a beautifully benign Colombian style. Soca, salsa, house, hip-hop and reggae warm up the packed dancefloor. The gusting fans surrounding it will make you and other dancers look dramatically windswept and much more attractive – especially after half a bottle of aguardiente.

Boundless Lounge brings together the finest Colombian products (from the Boundless brand) with international standards of service, on a central plaza in Cartagena’s enchanting old city. This oasis within the walls is where you can unwind in cool comfort and soak up smooth tunes. Enjoy Colombian tea & coffee, artisanal beer, specialty house cocktails or perhaps a glass of wine, accompanied by Charcuterie & Cheese platter, our Mezcal Ceviche or a costal Salmon Canapé. During the evenings Balthus Lounge is a sophisticated social hub, featuring regular live music and distinguished DJs, generating a modern, aesthetic ambience in the heart of the colonial Cartagena. The Boundless brand consists of exceptional micro-production: Colombian Coffee | Mineral Water | Cacay Oil. Escape, relax, enjoy with distinct satisfaction; Cartagena unbound.
I stumbled upon Mezcal after wandering around admiring the street art on a very hot and humid afternoon. I speak very little Spanish but the staff were very helpful and patient and somehow figured out that I was in desperate need of an iced coffee. I’m a bit of a coffee snob but the coffee was incredible! I returned a couple of days later and the staff remembered me (it’s located in a very busy area within the old city) and they welcomed my return.
