The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

We stayed in Clementi for 4 nights on West Coast Drive and really loved being in this clean calm quiet area. There is a wide range of retail shops, hawker food stalls and wet markets. As an alternative option other than the Clementi Mall, a little further from the town centre, a shopping complex, West Coast Plaza serves the upmarket residents of the condominiums along West Coast Road and the surrounding neighbourhood residents living in this vicinity. The shopping mall includes many various restaurants and a range of small shop stalls selling fashion accessories and all sorts of handicrafts. I definitely recommend venturing around seeing more than just Clementi Mall, you wouldn’t be disappointed.
